"Alan, sweetie, can you grab Marcus from his room? I gotta get Aaron from his room." I yelled across the house, running into my son's room and picking him up from the blue blanket he was wrapped in.
"Mom!" I heard from across the hall.
"Yeah?" I called back, holding my son up on my hip and heading out of the room.
My daughter, Mandy, came out of her room. She was the one who had called for me. She was 15, our oldest child.
She had bright red hair, like her dad, and green eyes like mine. And she was crazy, just like her dad.
"Mom, is it okay if I go out tonight? Shane asked me out, and-" she started.
"Mandy I can't talk about this right now. We have to get you to school." I said.
She sighed and muttered an okay before running downstairs. I met up with Alan in the hallway, kissing him on the cheek because he had Marcus in his arms.
Marcus was seven, and looked just like his dad. Like a miniature Alan Ashby. He was now rubbing his eyes in his dad's arms, in his little footsie pajamas that Alan had picked out.
My little bundle of joy, Aaron, who I was currently holding, was six months, and the cutest thing ever. He had bright green eyes, like me.
I smiled at Alan and headed down the stairs with Aaron in my arms.
I set him down in his playpen and kissed Mandy's cheek before she ran out the door to the bus.
To be honest, it was always hectic like this. Especially on days like this. Friday. So when we finally got our daughter out of the house and our baby asleep, we were both almost passing out from exhaustion.
It was only 8:39, meaning, we needed to get to work. OM&M had gotten huge, and we were currently recording our seventh album. I was still sound tech, doing the job I loved and met my husband through.
"C'mon, we need to get to work." I said, kissing Alan's cheek, and going to call our babysitter.

When we finally got home from recording, our daughter was already home, holding her baby brother. "Hey Mom, hey, Dad." she said, smiling at us.
"Hello, sweetie." Alan said, kissing her cheek.
Marcus came from his room, a huge smile on his face.
"Mommy! Daddy!" he yelled, coming over to hug us. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
"So, Mom. Can I go out with Shane tonight?" Mandy asked, looking at me with puppy dog eyes.
I sighed. "Ask your dad, you know he doesn't like Shane very much." I said.
She nodded. "I know."
I smiled at her and shook my head. "I don't care, just ask your dad first and be back by eleven." I added, before heading upstairs to change.

Mandy, after much convincing, got Alan to let her go out.
When Shane got here, however, Alan stared at him like he was a nasty stain on carpet. Shane seemed to squirm under his glare. I whispered in his ear, "Relax sweetie." I said, and he calmed down a little.
Now, at nine-thirty, we were on the couch with Marcus asleep on Alan's chest.
"Do you remember our first date?" I asked.
Alan looked over at me. "Yeah." he said, smiling.
I sighed as I thought about it.
*~*~* Memory*~*~*
I remember it like it was yesterday.
Alan had actually just gotten the nerve to ask me out, and I had been waiting forever.
We had endured all the teasing from the rest of the guys and finally made it to our date.
I had my hair tied up and I was wearing an oversized sweater and some black skinnies. I remember Alan was wearing a black polo shirt I had always commented on when he wore it, and some black jeans as well.
He was so cute, all awkward like he was.
He took me to this old restaurant that was called "Zazzano's" which was an Italian place.
I remember us taking our orders and Alan blushing madly through almost the entire date.
"Alan? Why are you blushing?" I asked, setting down my menu so I could look at him better.
"It's just, I don't want to screw this up..." he muttered.
I giggled. "Alan, you're perfect." I said.
He grinned at me.
*~*~*~*
He brought me to a movie afterwards, and it was a scary movie, forcing me to jump into Alan's arms ever time something scary came on.
And as usual, the best date ever had come to an end. He brought me back up to my apartment, grinning wildly.
"I had a great time." he said.
"Me too." I giggled, turning to open the door.
"Mary?" he said behind me. I turned and he kissed me softly. Like a first kiss.
I smiled into our playful kiss, and he smirked.
That was probably the best part. Kissing the man who would become my husband. I looked over at him. He was fast asleep, Marcus still sleeping on his chest.
I smiled to myself at the memory of our first date.
I looked up at the clock, seeing it was almost eleven. Mandy should be home soon.
Speaking of the devil, there she was coming into the house, smiling.
"Hey, Mom." she said, looking up at me.
"Mandy, come here, let me tell you a story."
"About what?"
"Your dad's and my first date." I said, smiling.
