Malachi POV
I grabbed Leanna and pulled her down. She started crying until I told her it was ok. We got up and walked to the closet that was by our booth. I locked the door and held her close. I called daddy.
"Dad! Dad! Ummm somebody is robbing ihop. Leanna and I are in the back in the closet. I locked the door."
"Ok. Malachi. Calm down we're on our way!"
He hung up and Leanna looked up at me. I kissed her lips and held her tight.
"I got you baby."
I sighed and looked around. There was nothing but boxed food and a broom. I grabbed the broom and placed it on the door and took Leanna to the back of the closet. Multiple shots fired in the restaurant followed by a man saying give me your money. Leanna looked up me again and cried.
"Baby shhhh. Stop crying it's ok I got you I promise."
The door started shaking and I covered Leanna's mouth. The door started moving from the punches and kicks it was receiving. The door opened and the man looked at us and laughed.
"Let's go!"
Leanna started crying and screaming and I sighed. He heard sirens and told us to get into the van or he was gonna kill us. We got in and Leanna cried.
"Leanna shut up! I got this just please stop crying i need you to be quiet so we can go home. Ok?"
"Ok." She sniffed.
I sighed and looked at my phone it was on ten percent and I needed more battery. Leanna took out her phone and it was on fifty percent. I placed my mom and dads number in her phone and called them.
"Mom, the man took us but we're ok. I just need you to tell me what to do."
"Ok first , you have anything sharp where you are?"
"Uhh yea momma."
"Ok try to open the door with it."
I put Leanna's phone down and tried to ply the door open. It didn't work.
"Momma it's locked."
"Are there any windows?"
"No momma."
"Ok y'all just gonna have to ride out until he pulls you out. When he does beat his ass! Then try to run."
"Ok momma. "
"And send me your location boy!"
"Ok momma."
I hung up the phone and looked up at Leanna. She sighed and laid on me .
"Are we going to die baby?"
"No baby girl I'll get us home ok?"
"Ok."
