Destiny POV
I woke up to the twins crying. I looked out the window and saw that we were in Texas. We were currently at Shipley's donuts getting breakfast I'm guessing. The car was on and Nicolas was gone. Momma was sitting, looking out her window.
"Momma."
"Yes?"
"How many hours till we get to Houston?"
"About two hours."
"Alright."
She looked back out the window while I unbuckled myself. I got out the truck and walked up to My step dads car. Malachi and Leiana were sleeping peacefully in the backseat. I sighed and woke him up. He sat up and looked up at me.
"Hey momma."
"Hey umm go get her some food. She may be hungry. And make sure she calls her mom."
"Alright."
I walked back to the truck and got in. I got in the drivers side this time. Nicolas walked out with three boxes of donuts and gave one to mama, one to his step dad, and one to my mom. He got back to the car and walked over to the drivers side.
"Baby what you doing."
"I wanna drive."
"For what?"
"Because you need to sleep."
"Alright."
I pulled out the parking lot and made my way to the highway. The car ride was filled with soft music playing on the radio and small conversations between me and his mom. I sighed and laughed at her silliness.
We soon pulled up to the house Nicolas and I bought a few years ago before we moved to Cali. It was a big two story house, that had six bedrooms. Everyone got out the car and grabbed their bags. Nicolas and I got into the house and packed clothes we had left there and packed up the truck. Malachi carried leiana to the bedroom while he walked with us outside.
"Malachi, take car of the family. We'll be back in a couple of days. If we're not back by Saturday. Y'all need to go to the other safe house in atl. The address is in the door in the master bedroom. There's extra money and guns in the panic room. And don't let your sister stay up all night and make sure she does her homework. And the twins let your grandparents handle them. Leiana take care of her. We love you."
"Ok momma ok daddy ,be safe I got this. I won't let y'all down .I love you too."
Malachi gave us hugs and we got into the truck. Nicolas grabbed my hand and kissed it as we pulled out the driveway.
