I sat there sobbing, silently arguing with my head, trying to convince myself that It want my fault when in reality I was doing the complete opposite. I came up with many more reasons of how and why I did it.
Then I remembered the incident from last Friday. I had been picked on at the bus stop before Luna and Angel both there. It didn't help that I hadn't slept or eaten the night before due to stress from school. I was already in a crabby mood when they decided to steal my bag. They ran away with it yelled “what are u gonna do about it you emo scum".
With the fury I had built up over the night, I had walked up and punched the kid in the face. Not only did he not drop my bag but he hit me back. I felt a sharp pain shoot up from my already bruised rib. At that I fell on the ground defeated. By this point all the kids had formed a circle or pretended not to notice. I sat at the edge of the circle and let a single tear fall.
The boy I had then looked up to relize was Tommy. One of the popular kids. Also one of the most heartless kids at school. He stood at the other end of the circle. “what are you going to go cut your emo wrists" he said laughing. I pulled my sleeves down slight at his remark. Out of insecurity I curled up waiting for more insults and more pain.
“What the HELL is going on" I heard Luna shout at the top of her lungs. All the kids that formed the circle around us slowly started inching away slowly. They are all terrified of Luna. Thinking it was over she walked over to help me get up as my newly broken ribs were stopping me from getting up myself.
While she was bent over getting me up, Tommy walked over and I took in a huge breath to try and warn her, but instead it shot pain a sharp pain up my side.. he made it over and kicked her in the back of the head, knocking her over.
Luna was still on the ground and was turned towards me. Her face turned blood red with anger and she bawled up her fist. Next thing I knew she was screaming at him at the top of her lungs. I couldn’t make out what she was saying in her fury, so I just laid there curled up listening to the screaming match taking place beside me.
I laid there for twenty minutes before anybody said anything to me. The screaming had just stopped and I could hear somebody limping off. Not bothering to move, I sat there. Then I heard somebody stomping over to me. Thinking it was Tommy, I curled up tighter, and protectivly put a hand over my rib, making me whimper in pain.
Hands pushed me over, and I rolled to face luna now un hooded. Her hair was literally silver, and just like her brother, her eyes matches her hair and were the same shade of silver. I ghasped twice, once from shock followed by once from pain. She didn't say a word, she was still fuming. She grabbed my hand and tugged me up, and we had walked home together.
Thinking about it now, I had no clue what that kid had said to her. Had he said enough to push her? Was it his fault? No the fault was still mine. I could have stood up for her, instead of wipering in the corner. It's not like I havn't done worse to myself before...
I stated hiding in that spot all day and didn't come out until it was time to go home. I quickly walked to the bus. Its not like anyone noticed I was gone from anywhere today anyway.
When I finally got off the bus, I ran.
Where?
To see Luna.
