I ran. Then I heard feet pounding behind me. They were close. "Scarlet ...wait" the voice said from right behind me. A hand grabbed my shoulder, and I was frozen in fear."Scarlet" the hand repeated quietly.
Out of pure curiousity I turned to see that the hand was attached to... Angel. My mouth hung open from shock. Angel just spoke. To me. But doesn't he hate me? I thought, confused.
"Scarlet look at me", his deep voice, scratchy from little use, said. I slowly looked up to face him. He was looking right at me, with his oddly colored eyes. " Why the hell would you think that it is your fault?", he asked. I shrugged. It's ALWAYS your fault. Always. "It isn't. It's life, my family."
"I-Im s sor-ry" I stuttered and mumbled out, holding back tears. "It is my fault because I didn't stop her, I could've, but, but I didn't. And now you both problably hate me." I said turning back, hiding my face.
"There is no way you could have stopped her, she was going to do it, and nothing was gonna keep her from trying." He pointed out.
"But I could have talked to her more, I could have-" I trailed off as my demons started speaking, or rather screaming at me.
"look at me scarlet" he said, urgently.
"w-what do-" "you don't have to talk. Just listen." He cut me off. "Luna has been doing this for years. If anything, you being her friend has helped slow her down in trying."
"Its just like last time" yep. Your fault again. As usual. "I should just....its all my fault, I I'm sorry.
I should've never made the promise." I added quietly."What promise?" Angel Puzzled.
