I walked to Sophia after kissing Wyatt.

And not just kissing. I told him that I loved him.

Oof.

Big steps.

I walked up to her with a giant smile on my face.

"I saw the whole thing!" She raved on.

"Oh my god that was so crazy! I said I loved him!" At this point I was bursting with joy. So was Sophia.

"What a cute love story!" She clapped.

"But every story has bumps in the road on the way to happiness."

My mood dropped as words spilled out of my mouth.

"Hey, cheer up kiddo. There's going to be a happy ending."

I smiled at her almost fake-like, thinking about all the possible bad endings.

"Is it though?" I asked her. At the same time, I asked myself.

"Think happy thoughts."

She wrapped one of her arms around my waist as we walked together to our class.

Wyatt's POV

"Well well well, if it isn't Mr.Steal your date." I heard Levi say.

I felt small in his presence, but I managed to stand my ground.

"Yeah, you're right. She hates you, man. And guess what? She fuckin' loves me. So who's winning now, sucker?"

Levi looked at me, confused.

I raised my eyebrows and pushed past him.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

I then scanned the halls for Ivy.

Once I saw her, I ran toward her. I grabbed her shoulders and spun her around.

"Hey, I believe your theory."

She looked happy to see me, but her smile faded after she processed what i said.

"Y-You do?"

I nodded.

"But here's the good part. When you said that you loved me, I got this amazing surge of power and happiness and all that good stuff!"

She looked at me as if I was crazy.

Maybe I was. But I really wanted to believe it.

After all, I did love her.

"Can we test it? Please?"

My voice sounded like it was about to break.

She looked around uneasily before agreeing.

"Okay, I suppose. So what do you want to try?"

I looked her in the eye and told her my plan.

"So, if when you told me you loved me I got a good luck charm, that should mean that if you do the opposite I'll be unlucky again?"

She was nodding during my little speech.

"Okay. Wyatt, I hate you."

As if on cue, a flying frisbee hit me in the back of the head.

My hand immediately went to the back of my head to ease the pain.

"I told you!" I said, wincing in pain.

"So, as long as we're together, we can be each other's good luck charms."

I smiled and hugged her.

Ivy's POV

Wyatt pulled me into a warm embrace.

I looked up at him, and he was looking down at me.

He leaned in and kissed me.

It felt as if we belonged together.

"Well, if we're each other's good luck charms, I think we should stay together."

He smiled down at me and pecked my lips again.

"I love you, Ivy."

"I love you too, Wyatt."

Oof this is all I wrote, have a good day, enjoy yourselves, get outside more, it's super fun.
