Chapter One-18th Birthday

"No Mum! Dad! Please don't be dead" I crawl over to their lifeless bodies sobbing. As another rogue comes stalking towards me I shuffle backwards trying to get away when my back hits a wall, I start to scream when another wolf comes in ripping the rogues head off In one clean SNAP! I eventually get myself under control when the man who saved me shifts back, puts on his clothes and comes over to me. I was still so scared that I didn't even see who it was until he was scooping me up off the floor and taking me out of the house " Uncle Jack! You saved me thank you!" I sobbed into his chest I have called him uncle for so many years even though we aren't related, he has just always been there for me and treated me better than my dad did. "It's alright little one you're safe now". I promised myself that would be the last time anyone would see me cry.

Nightmares of that night again...
Ugh, I groaned trying to turn my alarm off instead THUMP I fell face first onto the floor. I managed to pick myself up when I hear the Alphas son Lucas come pounding on my door. "Get up you stupid bitch!! Where's our food?!?" He screamed at the top of his voice. I look over at my clock and swore a heap. It was already 7 AM meaning I'd slept in and now I'm going to get beaten. You see since I was 15 I've been on my own. My parents died the day before my birthday, then I couldn't shift. So my uncle Jack took over as alpha at first he used to say "you'll be the alpha when you turn 18" but ever since I didn't shift I've been de-ranked to omega/pack slave/ punching bag. You know all those wonderful things. I should probably introduce myself. My name is Trinity Moon. I am the rightful Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, but no one around here even knows that. If I had have told anyone I'd be dead right now. I'm 5ft nothing, Icy blue eyes with purple flecks through them, raven black hair that almost looks fake.. being a werewolf means I have a killer body, not to brag or anything but I'm always covering it up with baggy clothes because it's all I have. I quickly jump through a shower rubbing my cinnamon and Apple body wash over my body, finishing up I run downstairs to help cook everyone's breakfast. In the pack house, there are over 100 wolves. So I cook a lot. I quickly take some food before rushing out the door to school. It's about a 30-minute walk which I love because I meet my best friends along the way. Courtney and Bree both of these girls are literally flawless. Courtney has this beautiful light brown hair and green eyes that could stop a truck! While Bree had that perfectly ash blonde hair and bright blue eyes.  Both of these girls have been abused by the people around them. Bree has a different alpha to us. Alpha John of the yellow crescent pack, he beat her, a lot. She always had bruises which broke Mine and Courtney's hearts, this morning Bree's bruises weren't visible meaning he's either only done it where no one would see or something way worse.  I tried to take most of the heat off Courtney because she wasn't of alpha blood so all of the beatings would have nearly killed her by now. I'm lucky enough to heal quickly.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I heard squealing it was the girls! Running up I squeeze them both they all of a sudden start singing happy birthday to me, oh shit. I totally forgot it was my own birthday. 18 yayyyyyy I get to find my mate today. Once they finish the song I give them another hug thanking them oh how much I've missed them, I hardly see Court around because the "alpha" likes to keep us separated from each other, anyway, we all walk to school chattering, luckily we were all In the same classes.

As we walk through the gate I get hit with a fist...

SMACK!!

I hit the ground with a thud, groaning from the broken nose and confused when sparks went through my body. I look up to see who it was and it was none other than Lucas Black, the "alphas son". He starts yelling abuse at me as only a weak "Alphas son" when all of a sudden I hear my inner wolf for the first time "mate" is all she said, her voice
"What whose that?!" I yell into my own head.
"It's me, Charm, your wolf." She replies quite calmly.
" you mean I actually have a wolf? Where have you been?!" I yell getting quite angry
"I've been in the back of your mind always. I just couldn't surface until you met your mate. You see we are quite special but that's a story for another time" she says cutting the link off. I snapped back to the present and said that one word that stopped everyone in their tracks "mate" I whispered to Lucas.
"Mate?!" he replies "Ahhahah good joke you'll never be my mate you are a disgrace of a wolf! I already found my mate and it's this beauty Bella!" He throws his arm around the girl this clutching at him it's none other than Bella Tilldi, the most popular girl in school blah blah blah. She is all those cliché things. Blonde, blue-eyed, tanned orange with a cake face on.
Oh, how I'd love to rip her to shreds.
Her perfectly pretty and manicured hand is making its way towards my face and OH MY GOD the bitch just slapped me! "Did she just do what I think she just did?!" My wolf roared angrily.
Lucas cuts in while Bella is still screeching and says the worst thing he could to a mate "I Lucas Black reject you Trinity Moon as my mate and Future Luna" he says with that stupid smirk on his face. I scoff at the last part. Like I'd be a Luna bitch please I'm the freaking alpha.
I get up off the ground, hold my head up high and say the words that change my life forever "you reject me? That's funny because I don't give a f**k! I Trinity Moon also reject you Lucas Black as my mate" I said with no emotion on my face. He groans as he falls to the ground clutching his chest. We were all just standing around awkwardly as he gets up and recovers with a growl he says "what about rejecting being Luna?" I reply with the attitude he deserves "oh didn't your father tell you? I'm an Alpha bitch and I don't take crap from you or anyone anymore, I am the rightful alpha of this pack you weak little mutt!" My wolf growled that last part. I turned around to the girls and said: "come with me, we are getting out of this hellhole!" We turn and run towards our pack houses. I told Bree through our special mind link that I wanted her to meet us at the border in 40 minutes. We were all leaving and never coming back.

Courtney and I get back to the pack house, running up to our rooms I told her through the mind link "take only what you need and grab some food too" I knew she got it but she was already packing so she didn't respond. I packed what clothes I had, my iPod and my photo of my parents into my backpack. I raced downstairs to see Courtney grabbing as much food as she could fit in her bag, I did the same. We didn't know how long we'd be on the run for, but we knew one thing. We'd do this together.

Bree waited at the border of both our packs, we were all nervous as we didn't know what was going to happen, then all of a sudden I hear a CRACK! I scream in agony as I started to see midnight black fur coming out of my hands, this went on for about 25 minutes before I completely shifted. The girls looked at me in awe. I didn't know what was going on until they explained. I was a pure midnight black wolf with a white, almost silver stripe going from my snout all the way down to the top of my tail. The girls shifted into their wolves, Courtney was like the colour of her hair, but with green tips and Bree was a yellow wolf with flaming red tips, We all ran for our lives. Not knowing what the future held.

"Happy birthday to me I guess," I tell the girls through mind link. They both show me a wolf grin and we continue on.
