STORMCHASER POV

The air was thick with anticipation as I paced quietly in my room, my mind racing with mischief. I knew the team would be busy with their "important" conversation, so this was my chance. I was getting bored again. The humans had arrived, and they were far more interesting than anyone had expected. They were small, vibrant, and full of strange noises. I had to see them up close.

The moment I heard Optimus speaking to the humans, my curiosity got the better of me. I crept down the corridor, my movements silent and swift, like the prowling predator I was. The voice of Optimus was just barely audible, so I pressed my ear to the door, listening in on what he was saying. The three humans were small, yes, but different. One of them had an unusual pink color, unlike any human I'd ever seen before. The others were smaller, less vibrant, but still fascinating.

I couldn't help myself. The excitement bubbled up inside me, making my spark pulse faster. With a squeal of exhilaration, I bolted forward, my long, powerful legs pushing me faster than I could ever have imagined. The team was too distracted, caught off guard by my sudden dash, and I made it to the humans in no time. Before they could react, I scooped up the pink one and the smallest by their outer coverings—just as a playful gesture, of course.

The Autobots' reactions were immediate and loud.

"Stormchaser! Put them down, you overgrown scraplet!" Ratchet shouted in alarm, the sound of his servos clanging as he charged after me, the rest of the team following close behind. It was clear they didn't understand my idea of fun.

But I was faster than them, and I managed to make it back to my berth room with the humans clutched safely in my grasp. As I curled up in the center of my nest, I gently dropped them onto the soft pile of blankets. My nest was comfortable, and they would be safe there for now. The smallest one tried to scramble out, but the nest's steep incline made it impossible for him to climb. It was adorable.

"We've got to get out before it eats us! Come on!" The tall one yelled, his voice filled with panic as he scrambled around. But the others, the pink one in particular, seemed to be in awe of my size, staring at me with wide eyes.

"I don't think it wants to hurt us." The little one defended me, his voice quieter but filled with curiosity. I purred softly, nuzzling the smallest one, and sniffed at his spiky hair. The sensation tickled my nostrils, making me sneeze with a loud "ACHOO!" that echoed around the room.

The pink one, still wide-eyed, screamed in excitement, "SO COOL! A DRAGON! SAY CHEESE!" Before pulling out something small and bright. There was a sudden flash, and I had to squint against the sudden light.

I grinned, my large teeth glinting in the light as I showed off even more of them, my lips curling into a smile. To them, it must have seemed like a nightmare, but I was just playing. I leaned forward and gave the pink one a long lick from her leg to her hair, my rough tongue brushing against her clothing.

"Yuck." She yelped, clearly not as fond of my affection as I had hoped.

"Storm, release the humans now. They are not toys!" Ratchet's voice boomed, his tone stern as he approached my nest. But I wasn't about to let anyone come into my nest. I growled low in my throat, a clear warning. The only one allowed near my nest was Optimus. Everyone else was too much of a distraction.

As Ratchet tried to approach, I curled myself tighter around the humans, protecting them from his harsh gaze. My optics narrowed, a soft purring sound escaping my chest as I shifted to hide them further from view.

"I mean it now. Or I'll..." Ratchet's voice trailed off, but Optimus' voice cut through the tension, calm and commanding as always.

"Stormchaser, they are soft-bodied and fragile. You could squish them by accident." Optimus said, his tone serious but filled with concern for the humans.

I looked at him, insulted. I was not a beast! I had self-control, even if no one seemed to trust me with the little ones. I carefully unfurled my massive body, moving like a predator with delicate precision. Gently, I picked up the pink one in my mouth, keeping my jaw open so that I wouldn't crush her. Carefully, I lifted her up, feeling the tiny weight of her in my grasp.

"Storm, I won't ask you again." Optimus' voice was firm, but I ignored him, showing off my teeth as I carefully placed the human on my back. I shrugged my shoulder plates slightly, sending the human sliding down my wing.

"Weeee!" The pink one squealed, her excitement infectious. It made me purr again.

"Aww, see? It just wants to play!" The little one said, his voice soft and kind. He was the only one who understood, at least a little.

"Yes, it is good to have the old Stormchaser back, but she is still young. She could accidentally play too rough." Optimus' voice was understanding, though still filled with concern.

"Yeah, Miko, think of crispy human instead of roasted marshmallows!" Bulkhead added from the doorway, his large frame filling the space.

Miko, the pink one, rolled her eyes. "Oh, right, got ya." I reluctantly got up from my nest, watching as the team ushered the humans back into the main chamber. My mind was still racing with excitement, but I knew I had to play along. For now.

"From the recent events, we fear that we've placed you in danger from our enemies, the Decepticons," Optimus began, his tone solemn as he turned to the humans, his usual authoritative demeanor back in full force. I lay against the wall, curling my tail around myself as I listened. My optics gleamed in the low light, and my ears twitched slightly. The humans were fascinating, and they were beginning to understand just how dangerous this world was for them.

"I get it. See any strange cars, call 911. Can we go home now?" Tall, the one who was always too practical, spoke first, his tone filled with frustration. Miko, on the other hand, was clearly much more intrigued by the idea of living among Autobots.

"Are you insane? I'm living in Bot-sawna, and I will not allow you to ruin it!" Miko declared with enthusiasm. Her wide-eyed energy made her more fun to watch.

She tried to run toward one of the large monitors, but I was quick to pluck her out of the air, lifting her off the ground before she could get too far. "Hello, put me down! I want to see what's over there! Storm, hey, why doesn't Storm talk like you lot?" Miko asked, her voice curious and confused. The rest of the team looked at each other in surprise. Optimus stepped forward to explain. "Storm is a Predacon, not a Cybertronian. Different species. She is the last of her kind, one that has long since gone extinct."

I kept Miko safely on my back, out of the way, feeling a strange sense of protectiveness toward her. She wasn't so bad after all. Just then, alarms blared loudly, cutting through the conversation. Everyone stiffened, and Tall was the first to react. "What's that?" He asked, his voice alarmed. Bumblebee, ever the helpful scout, answered with his usual beeps and whirrs, though Tall didn't seem to understand. Small, who seemed to be the most observant of the three, translated for him.

"It's the proximity alarm. Something's coming."

"It's Agent Fowler," Ratchet said, his voice tight with concern as he checked the monitor. "I thought we were the only ones who knew about you." Tall spoke, his eyes wide with uncertainty. Optimus glanced at the elevator, his gaze hardening. "He is our ambassador to your outside world. It is best he does not see you." I seized the moment, quickly placing Tall, Miko, and Small under my wing, hiding them from view. I lowered my body, my form shielding them from the elevator doors just as they slid open. The next moments would be tense. And I had to be ready.
