Cassie stayed at Katerinas with Payton for 3 weeks. Surprisingly they didn't fight they all got along except the second week was rough. Payton and Katerina began to fight about this guy named Wren, they both had really strong feelings for this boy. From 12:00am to 3:00am, they were fighting. Cassie got sick and tired of it She screamed "stop!!" and ran down the stairs and out the front door.
Payton and Katerina quickly followed her out the door, Cassie got in the car rolled the windows down and started to pull out of the drive way. Cassie called Michael an asked if she could pick him up. Michael was Cassie's best guy friend, but they both liked each other. She picked him up and drove to a park, she parked the car and they both climbed into the back seat. He put his arms around her and they talked. Cassie told him about today and how she couldn't stand her dad. That the reason she came and got him was because he makes her happy and when she herd her two best friends fight she felt like she was reliving the day her brother died and when her parents got into this huge fight.
Michael made Cassie feel safe, she felt like nothing could hurt her when she was with him. She told Michael everything, they talked for 2 hours just about. the both were just sitting there listening to the radio. Cassie had fallen asleep against Michael, he easily turned the car off and then fell asleep. The next day Cassie had woken up, she sat up and Michael was still sleeping. He was leaning against the car wall, Cassie climbed up front and figured she would get some coffee and breakfast for Katerina, Payton, Michael, and herself. She drove through and had gotten them breakfast and was driving back to Katerinas.
Michael woke up and asked what was going on and what smelt so good, she lifted the bag of food and said on our way back to Katerinas. He just sat back in the seat and smiled. Cassie pulled into the driveway and she carried the drinks while he carried the food. Payton opened the door and asked were Cassie had went. She told her she went to a park with Michael and were talking and then later fell asleep in the car. They went inside and ate, Cassie got a phone call from Jamie. Jamie was crying, he told Cassie he found their dad dead. Cassie asked how in a frantic voice, Jamie told her he shot himself and that mom was on her way to the house and the police were there.
Cassie said she would be there in a few. She zoned out and dropped to her knees, everyone looked at her an asked what was going on. Cassie smiled weirdly and said hes dead, the asshole shot himself. Cassie began to laugh hysterically and they started to bawl in tears. Michael rapped his arms around her telling her it was going to be okay.
