Chapter five - Brothers

Los Angeles, CA 8:45 am

   "surprise you're up so early." Damien says as he hangs his suit on the hangers. He turns around and notices that Chloe has the portrait of Emma next to him in her hands.

"Nice smile, something i don't see every day on you Mr.Long face." she says with a mocking smile. She puts the portrait back in its place and stops to observe Damien fixedly. He had a face of bad taste, she knew that he did not like to have his things touched, let alone enter his office without his permission. But those things did not matter to her, since she loved to annoy him. 

"What is the purpose of your not-so-friendly visit today?"he says coldly as he tries to take his seat back. Chloe rolls her eyes and stands up to give him his seat.

"I came because I want us to go out to eat, I'm tired of you leaving me waiting, I'm literally such a fun girl to hang out with. You don't have to worry, with me you will not get bored." Chloe says in a cocky way.

"I've told you a million times that we will soon, at the moment I'm very busy." He says with no importance.

"But you know that our parents hope that we can get to know each other more so that we can put our compromise on foot," she whines. 

"I repeat, there are many chances that this compromise will never happen, I love another woman and I will never stop doing so,even if I marry you, the moment she wakes up, those divorce papers will be processed."

"You're a jerk," Chloe screams with rage. "I never thought you would be like this, I've been as patient as I can be with you but I see that it's not the case ... go to hell, Damien Lockwood."

Damien sighs and waves his hand towards her. "I don't know how many times you've sent me to hell, you do realize it's just  a one way  trip."

Chloe groans and storms out of his office. Damien laughs quietly and turns to his computer. As he went down some files and emails, Chloe comes back into the office with Sarah following behind.

"Miss please calm down" Sarah says trying to get a hold of Chloe.

"One lunch Damien and that's it. Just one." She tells him or rather yells.

Damien's eyes travel up to her face. A little vein in her forehead, showed how angry she was. Chloe was always the stubborn and spoiled brat of the Adams family. She always gets what she wants. Nobody said no to her, over the 20 years of her life. Therefore Damien being the careless person that he is, made her really frustrated and competitive.

"Just one, Chloe." Damien finally answers after starring out into space.

"Yes! Please that's it. It won't kill you for Christ sake." She says with relief and excitement. She turns to look at Sarah with a mischievous look.

"Royal Cafe. January 18 at 12:00pm sharp."

Sarah quickly writes it down on her tablet  in Damien's agenda section. Chloe gets near the table and leans on it facing Damien.

"Don't be late," She muttered and blow him a kiss before cat walking out of the office.

Damien breath out and rub his eyelids. Exhausted from the trip to New York and all the work ahead of him, he decided to take a break and go home. Even if he just got to the office, he realized he wasn't feeling so good.

"Sarah please cancel anything for the remaining of the day. I don't feel so well so I'm going home." He says.

Sarah nods and do as he says.

"Do you want me to call a doctor for you sir?"

"No, it's fine I just need to rest a little bit." With that he parts ways to his apartment
