peter, susan, edmund, and lucy pevensie left their world as children. in narnia, they grew up to become the legendary kings and queens. but peter, susan, edmund, and lucy were never destined to live in narnia forever.
upon their return home, they discover that, though the wardrobe is still there, their lives are not. for time had passed in the real world, enough time for the memory of bombs and war had faded from the minds of the world.
struggling to adapt to a life much different than the ones they had led, the pevensie siblings were orphaned and confused. until a strange man approaches them in the orphanage with four letters with their respective names stamped on the front of them.
he tells them that he comes from a place called hogwarts. a place of magic, where young wizards and witches learn magic together.
