Sir Leon rode up to the castle as Arthur came running down the steps. He lifted the unconscious girl off the horse. "What happened?" He asked as he started to walk to her chambers. "I found her underwater. I don't know why she was there. I got her to wake up but she fell asleep on the way back" Sir Leon said as he took his and Amy's bags from the horses and let Merlin take the horses to the stables. Arthur carried Amy to her chambers. "Call for Gaius" He said to Sir Leon as he laid Amy on her bed. Sir Leon nodded and went for Gaius. Arthur sat next to Amy's bed and held her hand. Gaius came and checked her over. "She is ok sire. She just took in some water. She will awake soon" Gaius said. Arthur nodded and sat with her. Hours passed and Arthur grew tired and closed his eyes; sleep taking control. Amy's eyes opened and her hand felt warm. She looked down to see her hand being held by no other but Arthur. His sleeping figure rested on the chair next to her bed. Without knocking, Merlin walked into the room carrying water and some food. He looked at Amy to see she had awoken. "You're awake". "Yup. Did he stay here all night?" Amy asked. She still hadn't let go of his hand. She liked it there. He was warm and it made her feel so much better. "Yes he did. I went to his room this morning and I couldn't find him. Gwen said she hadn't seen him leave your room last night so I assumed he would be here. Oh, this is for you", Merlin said, giving her breakfast. "I couldn't take that. Wake Arthur and give it to him" Amy said. Merlin nodded. He didn't agree with what she said but knew better than to argue with a Knight. "Arthur" Amy said gently. Arthur smiled in his sleep, his hand gripping tighter onto hers. "Arthur; time to wake up. Breakfast is here" Arthur's eyes fluttered open to see Amy. Her eyes shone and she looked magnificent. "You're awake! How are you feeling?" Arthur said, suddenly wide awake. "I feel great. Merlin brought you breakfast" Amy said nodding at Merlin. "Thank you Merlin. That will be all" Merlin placed the plate and cup on the table and exited the room. Arthur looked at Amy. "Are you hungry?" He asked as he walked to the table. "No my lord. I am fine" Amy said. Arthur looked at her whilst putting a grape in his mouth. "We begin training today. You need your strength. Please come and eat with me" Arthur said whilst looking from his food to her. "Yes Sire" Amy said. Arthur went out of the room and found Guinevere. "Please can you go and get breakfast for Amy" "My lord, her breakfast was already brought to her this morning. We are just bringing yours now" Gwen said. "Please bring it to this room" Gwen nodded and walked down the corridor. Arthur put his head back in the room. "Breakfast is on its way" Arthur said, eyeing up the young girl. She couldn't be more than 20 and yet she was willing to lay her life down for the Kingdom.
