Time passed and the sky grew dark; Amy lay in her room reading a book that Morgana had given her. There was a light know at the door. "Come in". Merlin popped his head in the door. "Arthur asked for you in the courtyard" Amy nodded and Merlin helped her get into her armour. Amy nodded at Merlin and walked to the courtyard to see Arthur holding the reins of her and his horse alone. "Where are the others?" Amy asked approaching him and taking the reins he passed her. "We are splitting up. We are each going to take a town. Me and you; Lancelot and Gwaine; Elyan and Percival and Leon and Mordred. The others left already" Arthur said. "I do apologise for taking so long. I was trying to..." "No. Do not. I asked Merlin to come and get you after they left so I could focus on keeping you alive" Arthur joked. They both mounted their horses and took off into the night. They were riding to Amy's home village. She hadn't been there since she left for Camelot. It would take a day's ride. They rode into the night and Arthur looked at the young girl. Her face lit up in the forest. She felt like she was at home here. But he could see she was tired. "How about we stop for the night? We can continue tomorrow" He said smiling. Amy nodded and was secretly relieved he had said it. They dismounted and Amy found fire wood. Arthur lay of the wood next to Amy, and rubbed to pieces of flint together, causing a flame. He rest his head on a log behind him. They snuggled around the fire. Arthur saw Amy shiver. "Here" Arthur said. He wrapped his arm around her, drawing her into his chest and wrapping his arm and cape around her. She snuggled into his chest and felt the warmth radiating from him. Arthur looked at her and smiled. "Why do you look out for me Arthur? I am no different than other woman you may know." Amy asked; neither of them looking away from the fire. "I look after you cause I care about you. I took some serious guts to come to Camelot and become a Knight. I have admiration for you. But because I care about you, I fear you will get hurt. So I look out for you." Arthur said. Amy smiled. Slowly, her eyes began to shut and before long her eyes were shut and she was in a deep sleep. Arthur smiled. He too shut his eyes moments later, loving the feeling of her in his arms.
