Twilight Saga Fan Fiction: The Beginning of New Chapter to Alice and Jasper

Chapter 2- Surprised

   "What... did you say?" I asked.

"Alice, we got Jazz to go back here for you. Isn't that good?" Rosalie answered.

Suddenly I was unsure about my feelings. I couldn't know how to react on Rosalie's words. We got Jazz to go back here... Maybe Jazz was forced to go back. I know that he want some time more. Did Jazz say yes?

   "No! No way. Jazz wouldn't do that."I said.

"You have no choice, Em was going to Jazz now. He was talking at him right now." Esme said.

Then Edward and Carlisle was smiling. Then I saw Carlisle going upstairs with Esme.

    "We have to get ready, Carlisle. Jazz was coming back now! I missed him." Esme said to Carlisle. Carlisle was laughing as he answered."Esme, dear.. it was only yeaterday since Jazz left." he answered.

  Esme was looking at him in a deep disappointed face. "Er, Carlisle.. it was Jazz. Don't you missed him?" she asked back. Carlisle sighed.

    "Of course I do missed him. Now let's go."

"Well, I guess... we should prepare anything. Right, Edward?" Bella asked.

Edward said nothing, but he was laughing at me. Without a word, the two of them were gone. Rosalie and I were the ones who are remained in the living room, staring at each other. Rosalie looks at me, and I heard she spoke.

   "Er, Alice.. wouldn't be that nice? I'm sure you really missed him." she said, winking at me.

I shook my head as I answered her. "No, Rosalie. I do not. I simply didn't care to him."

She looked at me in strange eyes. Then she asked me, curiously. "Alice... how do you say that? You are not missing him? No, no, Alice... I think you should prepare yourself now....."

"No, Rose. I said... I do not care to him today. Can I just excuse myself? I think I should go now."

      I awkwardly proceed to our room without words, Actually, I didn't understand what I am feeling right now. I don't know if I should be happy because in a short time, he will be back and MAYBE that we can talk to each other. Or I should stay right here, hiding from him......

A few hours later, I heard Emmett's voice flying across the room. As I listened to him, his voice was happy and excited. I didn't see if Jazz was here now. Or, did he came now?

Quickly, I ran outside to the room to ask Emmett. As I walked fast just to find him, I saw Carlisle, Rose, Edward and Esme talking outside the gate. Suddenly, I heard them laughing. Emmett looked at me and he smiled.

    "Hey, Alice!" he called my name. But I wasn't paying attention at all, or, do I have to? Many things were playing in my mind as I try to speak. But, it seems that I couldn't find my right timing to open my mouth. I was speechless.

Emmett was laughing again, and all of them was looking at me. Rosalie notices my silence. I felt her arms into my shoulder.

   "Alice, what happened? Are you alright?" she worriedly asked.

Carlisle looked, too. His eyes met my own eyes staring at them. He tried to smile in front of me. But I know that he understands me.

  "I...I'm okay, Rose. Don't worry, 'kay?" I lied.

Edward stared at me this time, and his curious eyes caught my attention. I saw him shook his head, yeah Edward... you know that I'm lying to everyone.

   "But why you have to?" he murmured.

Everyone looked at him in surprise, I heard Esme asked Edward this time.

"Edward, whom are you talking?" she asked. Then, Edward looks at me again. He studied my movements without uttering any word, and Esme's eyes was looking at him. Then everyone followed her.

   "Uh.. I guess, we should prepare now, eh, Rose?" Emmett suddenly asked. The silence coming from us was idstracted again by Emmett. I think Emmett has a great timing for this.

Rosalie looks at Emmett, then she nodded. Swiftly, the two of them was disappeared in my sight. The two of them was now somewhere in the house. Only Bella, Edward, Esme, Carlisle and I were remaining from our position.

Carlisle walks beside Esme. Then he whispered to her in a very low voice. Esme nodded, then suddenly, the two of them leave us.

   "Alice... I know you. You're not happy with this, right?" Bella asked me.

I sighed. Then she tapped Edward's shoulder. "I guess you should talk to her for a while. I will go to Jacob for a moment."

Edward nodded. Then Bella leaves now. Edward and I remained there.

   "You lied?" he asked.

"Yes, what do you want me to say? Pretend that I'm happy that he will be here?" I answered.

"You don't have to be like that."

"What?! What did you want me to say?"

He didn't answer me. And I just shook my head. This conversation was useless. I want to left him there. But I couldn't. A part of me want to stay with him, just to talk. Another part says that it will be useless and no sense at all.

  "What?!" I asked.

"Don't pretend that you didn't like it. I know you misses him." he said.

I was annoyed at his answer. Of course, he can read my mind; he will know what I'm talking and thinking right now. But, he will never read my feelings.

   "Of course, I'm not." I denied.

He hissed, then looks at me again. His eyes were focusing to my feet. Edward, why you are staring at my feet? What do you want to do with it? Huh? I asked him quietly. But he said nothing, then he chuckled lightly.

   "Seriously, you noticed?" he asked teasingly.

I nodded. "Yeah, what?" I asked. I don't know what he is talking! Gosh, Edward...

  "I mean, you noticed that I am looking to your feet?"

Then, the serious atmosphere coming from us were now distracted. We are laughing now.

    "Yeah, that's funny; actually."

 For all the reasons why I am acting like this is about Jazz. Once and for all, he was the reason why I'm trying my best to show that I can be normal for some ways. Because of him, instead spending my life like a nomad vampire, killing innocent lives just to survive; he showed me the way how to control all those temptations in me.

Of course, my siblings helped me in so many ways, they understood me. Especially my brothers; Edward and Emmett, who really made me laugh everyday. Rosalie, on the other side as my adoptive sister, really acted like that one. We shared each other secrets and moments together. And, for the last thing, Carlisle and Esme who acted like our true parents. Who loved us and understand us.

     At last, this day was on its ending. Well, I mean to be literal; It was evening.

I tried to sleep alone for the second time. Huh, it was a tiring day for me.... does it feeling like tired besides being an emotional vampire for today? I bet its not.. of course, no one but me.

I tried to open the window to have some air outside. For a moment later, it was really cold now. I awkwardly reached out my arm to get my sweater. Then suddenly, I heard a slight movement coming outside. As I looked at my window, a shadow was on the opening now. His honey sliver hair was fluttering with the wind.

   "Uh, hey.. how are you?" the voice suddenly asked me.

Of course I don't have to look who's that. Its Jazz, my soulmate; who's peering on the window. I didn't expect that he may come home in just a short time. I really find it strange. I just looked at him.
