Adam-
Today was the day, 2 years since Adam asked me to be his girlfriend. It was supposed to be just us tonight, I mean I even cooked for once. He has been at work all day, he should be here any moment.

I transfer the pasta into a regular bowl, then pull a bottle of wine out of the fridge. "Babe, I'm home." Adam calls out, door shutting shortly after. He doesn't come to the kitchen, rather I hear footsteps bounding upstairs. A few minutes passed, and the footsteps return. "I'm going out with the boys, I'll be back in a few hours." He says, my heart drops. "Oh, well supper is ready. I thought we could... never mind. Have fun." I tell him, he smiles. "Bye, love you. It looks delicious, by the way. Don't wait up okay." He says, kissing my cheek quickly. "Trust me, I won't." I mumble, he gives me a weird look before heading out the door.

"Happy Anniversary Babe." I mumble to myself, pouring an ample amount of wine in my glass.

George- (his pov)
"Happy birthday, mate." Matty says, patting my back. "Thanks." I say shortly, the boys giving me a look. "What's wrong?" Adam asks, I shrug. "Y/n hasn't said anything about my birthday. Is this like one of those 'I'll make you think I forgot, but I'm really surprising you' things? I really hope not, do you guys know anything?" I ask, they shake their heads. "I don't know of anything." They say, I could tell that they were being honest.

"You're free to go home guys, we're done recording for the day. Happy birthday bud." Jamie says, peaking his head in the studio door. Everyone said their byes, parting ways as we walked to our cars.

I get home, the lights off in every room. "If you're going to jump out and yell surprise, I might scream. This is sketchy babe." I speak aloud, silently hoping it was a surprise party. I turn the lights on, heart racing with anticipation. Then there was nothing, no jumping out or anything.
"George were you saying something?" Y/n says, bounding down the stairs. "No, I didn't say anything." I tell her sadly. "Are you okay, you seem upset." She comes off the stairs and stands in front of me. "I'm fine, just a little tired. Wake me up from my nap later, or whatever." I say, pushing past her. "Wait!" She says, I stop in my tracks, hope still there. "Yeah?" I question, turning around slowly. "Love you." She says so sweetly, I wanted to scream. "Love you too." I say shortly, ascending the stairs.

Matty-
"Aiden, get in the car. Please." I beg, he whines. "I don't wanna." He stomps his foot, I sigh. "Baby, I'm sorry that daddy didn't show up to your play, but you got to get in the car." I counter, he shakes his head. "I was the Christmas tree, he was supposed to watch me." He cries out, my heart hurting. "I know baby, I'm sorry. You know, you need to get in the car so I can take you to get ice cream." I bribe, his face lights up. "Really?" He questions skeptically, mostly because I usually don't offer ice cream before dinner. "Really." I confirm. He crawls inside his car seat, still having small tears fall down his face. "He promised me." He mumbles, I lock in his seat belt. "I know baby, I'm sorry." I say, kissing his head. "You're the best mommy." He says, grabbing my hand.

Ross-
"Is Ross still with you guys?" I text George, annoyance building in me. "I left about 30 minutes ago, he was with the guys still. Not sure, sorry." He texts back shortly after. I sigh, putting my phone down. I look around the restaurant, it's full of preppy, prestige people. I sip the white wine sitting in the glass in front of me, the knot in my throat aching.

"Hi, ma'am, it's been 40 minutes, would you like your receipt?" The waitress asks, I can sense her sympathy and second hand embarrassment. "Just give me like 10 minutes, please." I request, she nods. "Another refill?" She asks, I look at my almost empty glass. "Why not." I say sadly, she takes the glass and walks away to refill it, again.

I pick my phone back up, no calls or messages. I text my best friend, asking her what I should do, I just don't want to fight with Ross, but as of right now I could scream. "Here's your wine, would you like some food?" She asks, I shake my head. "Thank you though. I appreciate it." I say gratefully. "If you need anything, just wave us over." She tells me, walking away quickly.

"Go home, get out of your nice clothes, and take a nice bath to soothe you. He'll come home, and hopefully will remember because I'm sure you'll have that sad look on your face. So, just finish your wine and go home." My best friends message read, my heart aching tremendously. I text to get an Uber, considering I drank a little too much wine and walked here in the first place. I down the wine, then call the waitress back over. "I'll take the check." I say, she frowns. "It's on me, go home sweetie. I'm sorry." She says, I smile gratefully. "Thank you." I say quietly, going outside to wait for my Uber.

These are so weak I'm sorry. Anyways, enjoy though.
