Matty-
"So I have a dinner with the label tonight and a couple other people, would you like to join babe?" Matty asks as he flops down beside me. I put my book down and look at him tracing patterns into my leg. "How many people?" I ask and lay the book on the bedside table.
"I don't know, maybe 30?" He says questionably. "Hm that's a lot for one dinner." I joke and he smiles. "It'll be just fine because I'm right there by your side." He tells me and I smile at him. "What time does it start?" I ask and look at the time on my phone. It was already 5:34.
"Uh, 7 I think." He says and I lunge forward. "You're kidding! You couldn't of told me that sooner!" I say and unwrap myself from the cover. "I've got to shower, put on makeup, do my hair, pick out an outfit! Oh god!" I rant frantically while going to the closet. I just pick out my favorite red dress and my black heels.
Speed showering was harder than it should be, why can guys shower in 5 minutes? I blow dry my hair, which took longer than the shower. I knew that I would spend most of my time on the makeup and straightening my hair, so I needed to speed through everything else.

"Babe, you ready!" Matty yelled from the living room. "Yeah, but can you help me zip up?" I yell back. "Coming!" He yells and I hear his footsteps echo in the hallway. "Damn, babe." He whistles and I wave him off. "We're gonna be late, save the love for later." I joke and turn my back to him. He zips it up quickly.
"You do look amazing though." He states as we descend the stairs. "You do too baby." I compliment and grab his hand. "I know you haven't met many of these people, but they're super nice." He says and we get in the car. "Good." I smile and turn up the radio.
—
"Wow, there might be more than 30." I sigh and he grips my hand tighter. "You're fine, promise." He says and I nod. "Matty!" A bunch of people yell the minute they spot us. He disregards me the second they approach us.
"You look exceptionally beautiful." A voice says while pulling on me. "Caroline!" I shout and give her a hug. "I feel better knowing that you're here." I say and she keeps ahold of my hand. "Come with me to get a drink, let's enjoy ourselves." She suggests and I feverishly nod. "Please." I groan and we make our way to the bar.
"So, what's up with him? He discarded you fast." She says and points at Matty. I sip my Chardonnay. "He does it quite often when we're out in public. Sometimes he makes me feel like he's embarrassed to be seen with me." I admit to her, she scoffs. "What's there to be ashamed of? You're absolutely gorgeous." She coos and I smile at her gratefully. "Thanks babe." I say and lean my head on her.
—
"Caroline, y/n!" Ross yells and attacks us both into a hug. "George told me to find you over here, Matty didn't even mention that you were here. I'm glad to see you y/n." He says and my heart cracks a little. "Really? Didn't say anything?" I ask and he nods. "I'm glad you're here though, always pleasant to see you." He kisses my cheek quickly. "Thanks Ross." I give him a quick cheek kiss also.
"See, told you so." I say and she frowns. "Go make yourself known." She says and I shrug. "I don't want to intrude." I frown and she shoves me a little. "Don't say that! Intrude! Why would he bring you, if not?" She questions and I shrug. "I don't know." I admit.
"Just go, I'm going to find George while you do so. If it doesn't work come find me." She says and I nod. "Okay, I got this." I whisper to myself.
"Hey babe." I say and attach myself to his side. He slowly detached us, but put his hand in mine. I couldn't help but be offended that he shrugged me off. "Who is this beauty?" Someone asks and I shake their hand awkwardly. "Y/N." I state and they smile kindly.
