Tina's POV
"Nathan, time to wake up!" I scream at the top of my lungs to my boyfriend.
Nathan groans sleepily before turning over an falling back to sleep. He pulls up his blue blanket to cover his face, effectively hiding himself from me.
"Wake up," I say prodding his shoulder and pulling off his blanket.
"15 more minutes?" Nathan pleads not opening his eyes, as he turns and lies on his side.
"You're supposed to be at the rink at 9:30 and it's 8:45 already," I say.
"Can we just not go?" Nathan asks.
My eyes widen in shock.
The 2018 Winter Olympic ruined a lot of things for Nathan, I know that, but he's always been so passionate.
He's always had this inner fire and morale to get through everything.
"Skip ice skating?" I ask, concern etched across my face.
"I'm tired," Nathan groans.
"Well, you shouldn't have stayed up so late," I state simply. "We're leaving in 15 minutes, so start moving."
Nathan's POV
As Tina leaves, my stomach gurgles uncontrollably, probably doing all sorts of somersaults.
Nauseated, I stumble into the bathroom and fall on my knees as I begin dry heaving. A second later vomit comes barreling up my throat into the toilet bowl. As I grasp the toilet bowl I feel gentle hands rubbing my back as I stop heaving.
"Shhh, it's okay," Tina whispers.
Gently, she helps me stand up and guides me to the sink, where I begin brushing my teeth.
"Let's, get you into bed," Tina says, as she guides me into my room, where I crawl back into my bed.
"I'm gonna get you some medication." She says. "Need anything?"
"Water?" I manage to whisper.
"Sure, I'll be right up," Tina replies.
Tina's POV
I walk down the stairs, and quickly dial Nathan's coach, informing him, Nathan isn't going to his sessions today.
I grab some water, and medication as well as a sick bucket.
I walk up the stairs and am surprised to find Nathan already sleeping, curled up in his bed.
"Nathan. Wake up," I whisper.
Groaning, he turns over, and promptly, throws up all over himself, the bed and the floor.
The smell reaches my nose, and I almost gag.
Nathan heaves again and throws up once again all over himself, before finally stopping.
"Sorry." He stammers, tears streaming down his face.
"Baby boy, its okay. Why don't you go take a shower, and wash up, okay?" I ask.
Nathan gets up from his vomit soaked bed and into the bathroom, and I throw him a new pair of sweats and a Nike sweatshirt.
