allen
my mind was all over the place right now. all i wanted to do was go home and get my life back together. i actually regret associating myself with the drug game, because now i'm in some shit that i don't think i'll ever get out of.
i leaned my back against the wall as i squirmed around. these hard ass benches in this holding room are tearing my ass up. a seen a officer waddle over to the cell and unlock it.
"haughton." she said, motioning me to get up.i slowly rose up, feeling each and every one of my bones crack.
"fuck." i mumbled, walking over to her. she handcuffed me and pushed me infront of her.
"where we goin' ?" i asked, as she forced me to walk down a dim lit hallway. "you're being interrogated." she began, knocking on the brown wooden door.
"have fun, son." she smiled sarcastically. a dark-skinned detective opened the door and looked me up and down.
"sir." i said, sizing him up. he stopped looking at me and allowed me to walk into the room. i sat in the chair across from his and hung my head low, staring at the dirty table.
"so it says here that you were involved in a drug bust?" he asked me,raising an eyebrow.
"that's correct sir." i told him. he began to read through my file and gasped when he seen my name.
"allen akeem haughton." he said, looking back up at me. "the allen haughton. man my daughter loved going to y'all games."
i chuckled bitterly and swiped my tongue over my bottom lip. "until we had to forfeit the season."
"i heard about that. so that's what led you to this?" he asked me "couldn't stay occupied ?"
"no sir, the college i wanted to get into.." i sighed "i didn't get accepted into my dream college because of low test scores"
"what college was that?" he asked me.
"georgetown." i mumbled. he blew his breath and scratched his head. i continued to stare at the floor, unsure of what was about to happen.
he threw the folder down onto the table and leaned back in his chair. "i know you're a good kid, anyone can look at you and tell." he began "look, i know someone who works at georgetown, their actually a child hood friend. i can have all of this erased if you promise me this."
my head shot up quickly "yes sir?" i asked him.
"study and do the test right, because i can see that you loved basketball. this drug shit isn't for you" he began "i can hook something up for you, and erase all of this shit, just focus." he told me.
"i promise."
i walked out of the police station feeling amazing. my whole life can change & i couldn't be more thankful. i gladly waltzed my ass over to uncle jaren's car, with a smile on my face. as soon as i got in though, he began to kick my ass.
i grunted as he continuously smacked me over the head. "stupid boy! just stupid! stupid!" he yelled.
"unc! unc please!" i screamed as i held my head, trying to block off his smacking. i heard aaliyah sigh, loudly. "that's enough, uncle jaren." she said, making him stop.
