Chapter 19: The Leader

I walked through the plain white hallways, reading the vague signs written above the doors all lined up and spaced evenly. 'KRW' 'KRD' 'GS' 'GG' and tons of other random letter assortments. we eventually reached the end of the hall to one big door with a clear marking 'leaders'.

Jets: "So why is everything labelled differently from how a normal organisation would label doors?"

He simply shrugged as he opened the door into another hallway with 5 doors on one side and 3 doors on the other. The layout actually set something off in me and I could immediately tell that I would not be getting this out of my head for ages yet to come.

The 5 doors all had different colours over the top where as the 3 doors had the numbers 1, 2 and... V3... oh my god this hallway is just ticking me off. What is this irksome feeling that I am getting looking at this uneven hall. It is both hurtful and annoying.

Lucas: "Come on then."

He opened another door at the other end of the hall to reveal a large white room with eight people sitting on podiums, also spread unevenly from the centre of the room. 5 towards the right and 3 to the left. Is it normal for me to find this annoying?

???: (A man sitting centre left) "So you are the new operative, Gokai Violet I believe?"

I stood into the room slowly and Lucas closed the door behind him as he left, I now got a better look at the room. pure white and very shiny, with more doors around the room which I presume lead to more hallways and such.

Jets: "I am Jets yes. you arranged a meeting with me and didn't grant me entrance until green boy fought me."

???: (A man sitting in the middle of the 5 on the right) "It is a needed test, had you been someone other than the actual Gokai Violet then we could not have let you enter."

Jets: "Excellent, there are ways that don't involve me getting my ass handed to me. Now cut to the chase and tell me why I am here."

???: (A girl on the very far right) "In due time Gokai Violet. As you may have been told already by Decade, there was a war here many years ago between our planets, and from recent activities the war seems to be restarting."

???: (a man at the very far left) "Due to this we have been gathering our units to prepare for a full blown war yet again. We have almost gotten in contact with all of our units or replacements for those units. we do however have business with you in that regard.

???: (The final man on the left) "You shall be enlisted as a member of our resistance group so that we can keep track of you and keep you up to date on all of the -"

Jets: "No..."

The entire room seemed to go quiet as they all stared at me in disbelief.

Jets: "I am a solo pirate, I don't know what Mer told you, but I have no intentions of being put... in a..."

They all left their pedestals and huddled towards the back of the room talking. I know that this is something that is done here but where I am from I am pretty sure that starting another conversation in the middle of another conversation is incredibly rude. they slowly returned to their pedestals and the one centre left spoke again.

???: "We understand why your pirate nature would lead you to not wanting to join us."

Jets: "Thank you, I am glad that you understand-"

???: "Which is why I am offering you a challenge. face me in battle and if I win you will join the organisation."

I looked at him and just smirked. He was trying to threaten me, has he not seen what I have done so far. Still, I mustn't be quick to act mighty, he may be the leader for a reason.

Jets: "I don't see any reason why I should accept your challenge, what if I say no and just leave."

He smirked and that smirk slowly turned into a wide grin. it's as if that is what he was expecting.

???: "Then you will be missing out on something that I think you will find very interesting."

He snapped his fingers and a door to the left opened, 2 men in black suits coming through with a briefcase each. they opened them and showed the contents inside. A black silky insides each with one ranger key inside. but the keys looked very multi-coloured unlike most keys that I have seen. one that was pink and had many black and green highlights, and the other that was a mixture of red and blue.

???: "Should you defeat me, not only shall we allow you to go on your way without contest, but I shall also give to you these Kamen rider keys that I had prepared for you and my own key, that of Kamen Rider Ichigou. call me operator Ichigou, I am the replacement of course as the original has been forced to retire from his post due to age.

I looked at the two keys as they shone in the light. Kamen rider keys. I can feel their overwhelming power just at a glance.

Jets: "Alright Ichigou... Let me use these in our fight and you have a deal."

We both looked towards each other and a line of tension could be felt between our gaze.
