Aesir – The race of gods living on Asgard

Annulars – Cy-borgs. Half man an half human.

Asgard – The home of the Norse gods known as the Aesir

Baldur – Odin's son. The god of love and light, of innocence.

Bifrost or Asabru or As-bridge – The rainbow bridge, the only entrance into Asgard. The red curve in the rainbow is burning fire so as to make the bridge impassable for mountain and frost giants

Chiton – A flowing woolen tunic worn against the skin.

Clicks – Kilometres

Crawler - A shrub that had the ability to withdraw its roots from the earth and slowly crawl away from danger. Its 'pods' were its natural defense against predators. Spear shaped approximately 10mm sharp quills were hidden by the white pods membranes. These sharp quills could be aimed with reasonable accuracy and 'shot' towards the offending hungry animal or unobservant human. The result of this miniature attack was a festering wound that if left unattended, would result in gangrene.

DNA Windows - A silver electronic silica strip that is used to collect DNA from a single person. Blood, saliva, hair or any part of the body pressed against the strip for a few seconds was enough for a DNA compilation. On contact with the strip, hair will turn the strip brown. Blood to red. Saliva to white. Urine to yellow and so forth. No strip can be used twice or be altered once it has been used. Each strip is then run through a database containing every single persons DNA in the whole of the Galactic Empire. By law, DNA is always taken at the moment of birth.

Einherjar – In Valhalla, the souls of the Midgard warriors are called Einherjar (lone fighters).

Freya – Mistress of the Slain.

Gladsheim – The hall of thrones. A hall that contained 12 thrones for each High King. The hall was built within an enormous fortress on the open plains of Ida.

Grayvite metal - A metal discovered 2137 years before. It had exceptional qualities not least of its colour from where its name was derived from. These qualities included exceptional strength and heat resistance unheard of in any other metal. All Galactic Empire ships were now standardised, protected and built with Grayvite. All ship hulls were only five millimetres thick as an example. It was not unheard of to find an Ionised drive drifting and tumbling in its coffin like protective casing in outer space. (The only item to be left relatively intact after a ship exploded or had been destroyed. All drives were fitted with at minimum, five fail-safe's that prevented the drives from either reaching critical temperature or exploding.)

Gungnir – Odin's spear 'the swaying one' a special spear made by the dwarfs that would hit any target.

Heimdall – A High king who can see and hear for a hundred . He protects the entrance to Asgard, the Rainbow Bridge. He was also the creator of the human society

Hel – Loki's daughter. World of the inglorious dead, located within Niflhel/Niflheimrand ruled over by the giantess .

High Kings - Odin, Hoenir (Vili) and Lodur (Ve), created Midgard

Hodur – Odin's son, tricked by Loki into killing his own brother, Baldur.

Idunn/Ithunn/Ithuna – Keeper of the golden apples that gave the gods their eternal youth

Jörmungand - Loki had many children though the 3 most notable were; Fenrir the wolf, Jörmungand the Midgard Wyrm, and Hel the goddess of the underworld. Fenrir was a rapacious, predatory wolf, known also as the Fenrir Wolf; Jörmungand was a hideous, venom-spewing serpent; and Hel was a horrible hag. Afraid that Loki's children would do more harm than good to the Aesir, Hel was thrown into the depths of Niflheimr or hell, to hold authority there and to receive all who had died of old age or sickness (man or beast). Jörmungand was hurled into the deep universal sea, where he grew so great as to be able to encompass the earth and to bite his own tail. He is also regarded as the Midgard serpent since his body has completely encircled Midgard. Fenrir was, on the other hand, kept in Asgard until it was deemed a threat because of its temperament and colossal size. Fenrir was tricked onto an island and then tricked again by allowing a magical chain forged by the Dwarfs to be tied around his neck. A sword was inserted into his mouth so that it gaped wide. Because of this, come Ragnarök, Fenrir would become the Aesir's worst and most deadly enemy.
