Okay. So. Lyric comics. You guys, if you follow my art book, know I have a slight obsession to making them (I'm making one as we speak). Yes, it's time consuming. But its fun. If you guys have been following my books, you know I created a business with some friends called Classroom Comics.
Well, I was watching Szin's "Hamilton in 7 Minutes" animatic, and she talked about how making Hamilton animatics isnt fun anymore because it feels more like a job than a hobby. Exactly how I feel about my lyric comics. For example, I have a customer who has been waiting for over two months to get a lyric comic for "The Battle of Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)"
They haven't received it yet. Not because I forgot, but because I'm so uninspired to do it because I could be doing something much more fun. Instead of doing a lyric comic which will take nearly a week for $15. Now, my friend has been constantly reminding me of it. Everyday at school, it's just "So, how far along are you with the comic?"
"Are you done with the Yorktown comic?"And it's been causing me a lot of stress because that's been nagging me for the longest time, but if I force myself to do it, then it won't be good. Hhhhh-
