"So this energy extractor thing? It's gonna hurt, right?" I ask as we walk. I didn't really mind if it hurt, it couldn't be worse than what I've already been through. I just need to hear her voice. I don't know what it is about her. We learned about hormones and that stuff, but Mojo said we'd never have to worry about it. I assume he meant that we would never meet girls and have a love life or kids. At the time I was fine with it, but now I want to know what this world full of girls held for me.

Not in a creepy way! *

"I assume so, I've never been in it," she shrugs from her position ahead of me. I haven't known this girl for long but I could tell she was lying. Her voice was too stiff and controlled, trying to hide emotions. She has been through it and it wasn't pretty.

"Of course not, I just figured if they sent you to get us you must have seen it happen before," I nod like a smart person which is stupid because she can't see me. Even so, she let's out a breathy laugh.

"I'm a delivery man, not the conductor," she explains. I scrunch my nose and stick my hands in my pockets. We had both washed off the mid from our fall the night before and cleaned our clothing. Green had suffered so much damage that she ended up doing surgery on her clothes.

Now she had a sleeveless green top that exposed her stomach, black cardigan pants that went to her knees, two black and green stripe belts criss-crossing over the beginning of her pants, two black arm bands, and a single black glove on her right hand. She was dangerous and gave me the shivers.

"Two different things, cupcake," I say. She turns and raises an eye at me. Usually I would have run and his behind anything, but being on a plain and all there was nothing but knee high grass.

"Cupcake?" she asks, her hands folded on her waist. I give a tight smile and shrug my shoulders. She shakes her head with a laugh and turns back to the front. I release a breath and follow after her.

We didn't speak for a long time. When I took a step forward I gasped because I ran straight into her arm. She glares at me and puts a finger to her lip. We slowly bent down and stare through the grass.

I didn't know what we were looking for until I saw a glint of gold leap by. I glance at Green but her eyes are glued to the field.

A face emerges a few feet on front of us and I silently panic when I see a male lion. His mane looked like golden flames and his bleached fur was swaying lightly around his lanky form.

He looks straight at Green and they lock eyes. I glance between the two and suddenly the lion bounds forward. Green charges with agility and shoves her coil of rope into its mouth. She reaches for her crowbar when the lion jumps on her and pushes her to the ground. She holds up it's neck, barely managing to keep it from ripping off her face.

"Help, Butch!" she screams, her face turned towards me. I stare at her and then fall backwards.

"Butch! Help me!" it was a girl. We were in Mojo's lab and Mojo's robots had her by the arms, dragging her backwards.

"Bc!" I screamed, rubbing past robots to her. Her face was blurred but I could still hear her stressed cries through the crowd of metal. "BC! BC where are you?" I shove away robots and tried to get to her, but she was gone.

"You won't find her here, Butch," a voice said. I turned and saw Mojo. Instantly fury broke into my chest and I dragged robots away until I was before him.

"What have you done?" I growled. My chest was heaving and I had blood pouring from my arm, but I felt exhilarated.

"What needed to be. Project Power Puff was a fail," Mojo said quietly. My eyes grew large and I felt broken.

"How could you? I love her!" I screamed, fury blinding my body. I took a step forward and the robot shot me in the arm with something. I looked down and yanked out the syringe. I glared at the robot and dismantled it. The room started to turn white but I wasn't finished.

I looked back to Mojo, but found I couldn't walk. I fell to my knees and tried to crawl towards him. "And that is why they're gone. Think on that, Butchy." he turned and walked away, leaving me on the floor. I fell to my chest and flipped onto my back.

"Butter..." I whispered and then the light overtook me.

"Butch!" my eyes snap open and I freak when I begin to sway. I look around and see that we're in some jungle forest in the trees, but we were in wooden traps suspended fifteen feet off the ground.

"Where are we?" I ask quietly. Green looked miserable and angry, her arm had blood tracks on it and her face has a long red wound on her cheek. "What happened to you?"

I try to reach through her bats for her hand but she slaps mind away. "What was that back there? In a fight you can't just faint!" She hisses.

"I don't know what happened! You asked me to help you and I just couldn't," I took a few deep breaths and look at her. "I couldn't save her either."

"Save who? I never asked you to help! I told you to fight!" she says, but her tone was curious. "Who's 'her'?"

"Not important, but you asked me to help you. The lion had you pinned and you turned to me and told me to help," I fight back. Green shakes her head and rubs her arms. Down below there are jauntiness voices and laughter. The light of a small fire is visible and it sounds like their celebrating.

"The lion never had me pinned, I killed it as soon as it charged. There were more, females, I told you to fight them," Green sounded panicky, her voice high and curious.

"But you...you said," I stop, unable to understand.

"Maybe you are so thing bad and hallucinated. It could have also made you faint," she suggests. I nod, but I know that wasn't the case.

"Where are we anyway?" I ask again. Green sighs and leans back on her cage.

"Nita Tribe. I've had run-in's with them before, none very good. But we're strong fighters, they don't have that. They want us to join, I refused, now we're their prisoners," she shrugs as if it was no big deal.

"And we're just going to wait here?" I ask, surprised. Green smiles, but it was a sad one.

"No, but I had to sit here and wait for your lazy butt. who's Butters?" She asks with a sly smile. I look away and shrug.

"I wish I knew," I say. I turn back to her, and she stares at me. "Anyway, I'm up. Let's go."

I hope this answered some questions. I'm glad everyone loves my book, I just really like to put twists on things. Next chapter is Boomer. I might add the girl's POV but for now it's the boys. Enjoy!
