"Why the hell does this have to be so hard?" Namjoon asked himself, running a hand through his hair and groaning.
He had been trying to think of a theme for over an hour now and he still had absolutely nothing. He even tried searching up ideas online, but nothing seemed to stick out or feel unique enough for him to choose.
Glitter on everything.
Wearing a flower crown in a field of flowers. Abstract photos taken in a broken down area of town with some sort of graffiti on the wall in the background. It had all been done before and it had been done plenty of times. He didn't want to be basic or unoriginal. He wanted his photos to be unique. He wanted them to stand out. He wanted them to make people think or question what he was even thinking when he snapped the images.
Everything he did was always so much different than everyone else. Unique and unusual had always been Namjoon's aesthetic for anything and everything.
He had no set style that he followed and he liked to push the boundaries with his clothing. One day he'd wear all black and the next he would be clothed in the brightest of pastels. He had even worn a skirt on several occasions.
Namjoon liked to stand out and he liked being different, so he wanted this set of photos to reflect that.
After another hour of what ended up being pointless brainstorming, he decided to take a break. He picked his phone up and went to his contacts, calling Jimin.
"Hyung?" The younger's sweet voice came through, making Namjoon smile.
"Hi Jiminie," he greeted. "How are you?"
"I'm pretty good right now! I just finished writing another chapter for book, so I feel pretty accomplished. What about you?"
Namjoon sighed, glancing around at the crumpled up pieces of paper around him, inside the trash can, and surrounding the trash can. "I'm alright. A little frustrated, but I'm alright."
"Why are you frustrated, hyung?" Jimin question, his voice laced with concern for the elder.
"I still can't come up with a theme for my project. Everything has already been done before."
"Hmm," Jimin hummed as he thought. "I can try to think of something! I'm sure I'll be able to come up with an idea. Don't stress yourself out."
"You don't have to do that, Jimin–"
"Oh shush, hyung. It's fine!"
"Fine," Namjoon sighed once more. "Are you busy right now?"
"Not right now, no. Why? Can't stand not being around me?" Jimin teased, the smirk on his face evident in his tone. "Also, I thought you were busy and that's why we weren't we supposed to be going out until Thursday?"
"You caught me. I just love being around you," Namjoon chuckled. "Want to go to the movies? I'll come and get you. It'll be my treat?"
"I don't know, hyung..." Jimin trailed off, the uncertainty in his voice making Namjoon feel slightly nervous.
"We don't have to go if you don't want to. It was just a suggestion," he blurted out in anxiousness.
His nerves were quickly calmed as Jimin's giggle began to fill his ear. "I'm just kidding, hyung! I would love to. Let me get dressed really quick."
"You're such a brat," Namjoon commented, but then told him that he'd be leaving soon.
The elder shook his head, a smile on his face.
"I can't believe I'm into this dork so much," he mumbled to himself as he put his shoes on. He shoved his wallet and cell phone into their respective pockets before grabbing his keys and heading out the door.
