"Joanne I know it may sound weird but I think I know what's wrong with Darcy" Harold said sitting down on the sofa back in the living room. He kept his cup of coffee down on the table and looked a Joanne. "Have you ever experience something... something weird before or after Darcy fell ill?"

Joanne looked at Harold in confusion. A terrified look crossed Joanne's face as realization hit her and she was reminded of the unexplainable things that started happening since Darcy's Birthday. Harold seeing the change in Joanne's expression placed his hand on hers and nodded, an assurance that he will try to understand and help as far as he could.

Joanne took a deep breath, "Yes" she let out a sigh.

Even though she had a little believe over supernatural things, when she put the events together, she found herself bound to believe in it and as she unrevealed the events in front of Harold, she was slowly getting convinced herself.

"Look Joanne..." He said clasping his hands together, "I've been studying about paranormal happening around several places, and in fact have tried to help many people out there"

Joanne was getting what Harold was trying to tell her and deep within her she was thinking the same too but she wasn't ready to believe it, especially with Darcy.

Harold took a deep breath, "Okay now it may sound crazy but I think Darcy is not suffering from any kind of illness, and her medical reports prove that... she is not herself anymore, this is really crazy but I think there is something controlling her... Something we can't see but only feel and believe me Joanne it might be dangerous"

Joanne's face suddenly looked pale. Hearing Harold's words her blood ran cold. She now knew that her daughter was not safe and no medical treatment could help her. But above all she was shocked at the fact that it was Darcy. She couldn't understand why it was happening with Darcy. What wrong that little girl had done to others that she was suffering through all that. Why the God whom they believed so much was making this innocent child go through something like that?

There were many question in her mind but answers to none.

"Believe me Joanne" Harold's voice stopped Joanne's train of thoughts bringing her back to the room.

Pain flickered in her eye and soon tears escaped the tired eyes of Joanne, "Harold, I..I don't want to lose her... Please... Please do something.. Save Darcy" she pleaded.

Harold's heart sank seeing Joanne. He knew how strong she was. But at that moment she looked devastated, completely broken. She had been fighting for long.

"Don't worry.. I'll try my best" Harold assured her. "I need to go now. I'll come back tomorrow. I need to gather things I'll be needing and from what you've said I think I have a rough idea with what I'll be facing tomorrow. I think I can handle it by myself"

Joanne nodded. Harold's words calmed her mind. Somewhere within her the light of hope was born again. After many days she was feeling that everything will be fine. However for the moment she just had to trust Harold and have believe that everything will be fine and her child will come back to her. Harold was indeed her only hope.

Before bidding goodbye to Joanne and leaving her alone with Darcy in the house he took a walk throughout the house. He checked each and every room. He even checked the yard as if trying to search something. But there was nothing suspicious. He was confused. He couldn't find the reason why the thing was residing inside Darcy. What was its motive. What it wanted.

He needed answers and there was only one way to to that, to ask it himself.
