"Do you think it's safe?" Joanne asked. Harold wrapped a holy necklace around his right hand extending to his arm. He took the vile of water and with his eyes closed chanted something under his breath.

Joanne was scared. As said Harold came back after three days, he didn't run away from the situation and Joanne was grateful to him. However, she was worried about this whole thing. She didn't tell anyone about her decision not even Brad.

Things were already too worse and she knew she had to take this step and Brad would never agree to such a thing. Exorcism isn't some kind of child's play after all. This was serious, the whole situation was. She believed and trusted Harold.

"Darcy will be fine, I promise you" Harold replied with and assuring smile. Joanne nodded with a weak smile. Her shaky cold hands were the proof of how much scared she was.

Although she was ready to hand over Darcy to Harold's care for the exorcism but somewhere within she was still going back and forth about the decision she had made. She wanted her child to recover from whatever it was and she was ready to use any means. But the way they were using was dangerous for Darcy. What if it's much more powerful than what Harold had estimated? What if the whole process fails? What if something happens to Darcy?

Her mind was full of chaos. She had never faced such situation in her whole life. There were lots of possibilities both negative and positive. But at that moment the negative thoughts were ruling her mind making her question her own decision. She took deep breathes, 'everything will be fine' she assured herself.

"I think it's time" Harold said holding the vile of water in his hand and his holy book in another. Joanne took a good moment and stared at Harold helplessly as if asking him to save her daughter at any cost, Harold as if reading her mind answered with a nod, "Trust God." He gave her a assuring smile.

Tears welled up in her eyes. Joanne sighed deeply, it was time. 'Today it will be over, I'll accept the fate, whatever it might be' she thought.

She took a deep breath, "Take care of my child Harold, I can't lose her"

"Don't worry", he said and handed her the vile of water, "Come with me and do as I say" he said raising his brows at Joanne. Joanne nodded.

The creaking sound of the stairs under their feet was all they could hear beside the shallow breaths of Joanne as they climbed the stairs towards the room Darcy was in.

As they reached the door, Harold glanced at Joanne who was standing beside him. She looked scared and worried at the same time, she kept taking deep breaths as if she was preparing herself to face whatever was about to happen.

Despite the assurance given by Harold, that it wouldn't be dangerous and that it would not hurt Darcy, Joanne still was having a hard time.

"Joanne, please stay calm" Harold said to which she nodded letting out an audible deep breath.

"Everything will be fine okay?" Harold asked and Joanne gave a nod smiling through her tears. Seeing Joanne smile, a smile appeared on Harold lips too. She was indeed a very strong woman.

Turning back towards the door, Harold placed his hand on the cold door knob, his fingers perfectly fitting around the knob. He turned the knob slowly and the door creaked as he pushed the door open. The creaking sound continued to escape from the door hinges as Harold slowly pushed the door opening it wider.

His eyes immediately scanned the dark room, the curtains were drawn in keeping the sunlight outside the room, even the lights were out. It looked gloomy and a sickening awful smell filled the air. Harold furrowed his brows as the smell hit his nostrils. His eyes stopped when he spotted Darcy sitting on the study table at the corner of the room. Harold stole a glance at Joanne who was behind him. He took a deep breath and started walking towards Darcy.

Taking one step at a time he slowly moved forward, his eyes trying to have a glimpse of what Darcy was doing. He could see a white paper on the table and Darcy holding a color pencil between her fingers.

After taking a few more steps he was standing beside Darcy's chair. He looked at her then at the paper lying in front of Darcy on the table. His eyes widened as he finally was able to see the content of the page.

There wasn't any drawing nor any sort of coloured stuff just a single line with six letter written roughly in black.

It read, 'Go away!'
