There are only a few days left of winter until spring comes along and Camila thinks that the two are falling apart. Not because of their relationship/friendship but because the advances Lucy takes are not taken seriously by Y/N.The Colombian woman who works in a restaurant is deeply and madly in love with the journalist and she's completely oblivious.
Camila doesn't know how love works to know what it's like to feel that way. She might've had a crush some time in her life but Camila's been dead for so long she thinks that love is just a distant memory. The most she's known about love is loving her sister, and she doesn't remember much about it; because when you're dead, you remember memories but not feelings and Camila might be stuck in reliving the same memory until she awakens... or until something happens.
(She doubts anything will.)
While Lucy stays madly in love, Y/N is something else. She spends most times either looking through and reading books that Camila had never gotten to finish, and Camila likes sitting next to her as she reads the book.
(Camila concludes that Y/N is much more of a slower reader than she is, but that's okay because Camila likes to sit in silence for a bit. Waiting patiently for the human to finish reading the page so they can flip to the next one.)
(Camila also concludes that Y/N has more of a personality than Lucy does.)
Y/N likes to read, she reads a lot. Camila likes to spend silence with Y/N only because Y/N does interesting things, she listens to music that makes Camila smile because she remembers once upon a time being so in love with music. Though the feeling is so distant, she loves being reconnected with music... it makes her feel alive.
Alive. Camila has times when she thinks she might be alive, because she's getting better at moving things. Nothing too major.
(She makes sure to put things back where they belong, she knows that she wouldn't like her own things tampered with.)
She does something terrible one evening, though she doesn't mean to. It happens and Camila can't believe it herself that she has so much effect on humans as she does on reality. Being dead is supposed to make you sit on the third wall of existence but sometimes Camila can do things that even she, herself, can't understand why it happens.
Like leaving a mark. It should be passive but something about the human reaction to it, leaves Camila wondering on how much of an effect she could have with them. Not fun, but maybe tease her existence.
On the second floor lies a library, not fully stocked but that's changing as Y/N spends more time in building bookshelf's, its beside her study and since Lucy loves Y/N so much, she agrees to change the room in an instant. As time goes past, the room goes more vibrant and less dusty.
Y/N does more work than Lucy because the Colombian likes to stare, Camila wouldn't blame her. There's enjoyment in just being able to watch everything and not tamper.
When Y/N is stocking up the books of a shelf, Lucy is sat at the bench just in front of the window, leaning back and her body back. Just staring at the girl, with her hands facing down and fingers hanging loosely.
The Cuban girl staring at Lucy thinks that she's pretty. Lucy was always pretty in a way, there was something about her that made her always pretty from the moment she was introduced. Camila doesn't know what it is, but it's there. Her bare long legs crossed over the other, she only wears a short skirt and you could see more of her skin than needed, Camila didn't want to look too much without feeling awkward.
Y/N turned for a second to grab more books to stock up, pausing to stare at her. Lucy stared back at her while biting her lip.
"There's more books downstairs."
