Choco Coffee: 12:00 PM
Noon, the bussiest moment of the day at the student's coffee shop 'Choco Coffee'. Younger and fresh barista Prompto Argentum, was taking order after order. The place was packed with customers. Lucky for him, he wasn't alone. One of his colleagues (a young woman who seemed to have her eyes on him), gladly helped him with the orders.
"Gee, this is the bussiest it's been since years", the woman said while on break. Prompto nodded. "Four more hours to go...", he said with hope in his voice. His colleague giggled. "Yup. Now it'll probably be students that come here to chill after classes. Will be busy, but they'll have way more patience than the wave of customers we just had.
The blonde boy smiled. "What is it, blondie?" He shook his head. "Nah, it's nothing." "C'mon, tell me!", the lively woman cheered. "I was thinking...Imagine me meeting someone here. That one customer that'll sweep me off my feet...Would be weird, right?" The woman shook her head. "Not weird at all...P-Perhaps an employee could also do that to ya." Prompto understood the hint, but ignored it. "Meh...I think not..."
Finally, the afternoon shift. This was Prompto's favorite. Sometimes he'd even sit and talk to a lone customer. That was the case when a certain girl entered the establishment. Her hair was curly, golden blonde. Her eyes olive green. The afternoon sun shone through the glass window, right on her, lighting her up. Prompto's eyes immediately caught her. His heart was pounding, his eyes slightly widened. "Gods..." The girl saw the young barista and smiled.
Time seemed to stand still. Sound faded, so did the crowd. All he could see was her. Soon, he noticed she was approaching the counter. Prompto panicked. "Oh Gods. S-She's coming here! Wh-What do I say?!" Before he knew it, the girl stood in front of him and his heart stopped for a second.
"H-Hi! W-Welcome--" It was now that he realized he was speaking way too loud and immediately toned it down. "Excuse me...", he apologised. The girl didn't seem to mind. Prompto's colleague on the other hand didn't look so pleased with the customer. She immediately pulled Prompto away from his post and took it over. "Ow! Daisy!" The woman didn't listen and quickly took a pen and paper.
"Name and order", she said in a cold voice. The girl looked a bit scared now. "...Cindy...and--" "Aight. Order, please", Daisy interrupted Cindy brutally. The young customer gulped. "U-Um..."
Prompto couldn't believe his fellow woker's behavior and put her asside politely. "What the hell, Daisy?" He whispered loudly. "You're scaring her off if you keep acting like that." He didn't receive an answer. Prompto sighed and took his post again. "Terribly sorry from the both of us...Please, take your time", he politely said to Cindy. The girl smiled again and looked at the menuboard above.
"Hm...Oh! That Moogle berry pie looks great! I'd...like that and a um...Chococino." Prompto was writing her order down with a shaky hand and then wrote her name on the cup. "Cindy..."
"There. Um...You can take a seat. I'll bring it all to your table as soon as it's ready." Cindy nodded and smiled before going to a table. Meanwhile, Prompto was just dreaming away, repeating her name in his head over and over, afraid he might forget it. "Cindy, Cindy..." His eyes suddenly met hers again and he could feel it. She was also melting away in him...she had to. "C...Cindy..."
