Noticing Cindy was getting tired, Prompto gently picked her up and carried her bridal style. "Where do you live?" His voice sounded soft and gentle. All Cindy could do was point to the appartement block in the distance. "Over there?" He didn't receive an answer, so decided to trust her on this.
Once at the door, Prompto carefully rang the first bell he could find. Seconds later, an old lady appeared at the door. Her eyes were deep blue, her hair curly and silver. She smiled at the youngster holding the nearly sleeping Cindy. "That girl lives upstairs. Over there." The elderly woman pointed to the staircase. "All the way up and then, to your left, you see a door. That's it. You can't miss it." Prompto smiled softly and nodded. "Thank you, ma'am." The woman chuckled and smiled. "No problem, dear...Here. I'll give you my extra key. Opens every door in this block."
With that, Prompto carefully walked up the stairs and opened the door to Cindy's house. It was small, but looked cosy. It reminded him of his own appartement from when he was a kid. Everything was nearby. It didn't take long for Prompto to find Cindy's bedroom. It must've been the biggest room in the block.
Carefully, he layed the sheets open and gently layed the girl in bed. "She's so beautiful..." Gently, he tucked her in and smiled. Then, he carefully leaned to her ear. "Sweet dreams..." he whispered, before quietly leaving the room.
He could hear whining once he was outside the room. Slowly, Prompto turned his head, looking at the bed. Cindy looked a bit troubled. Concerned, the blonde boy entered again. "Cindy...?" Her eyes were squeezed shut. "Don't...leave..." she whispered. Prompto sighed, briefly closed his eyes and smiled, gently laying onto the bed beside Cindy.
Hours passed. Exhaustion soon washed over Prompto, making his eyelids heavy and unable to keep them open. Something told him to go to sleep, but his heart didn't want him to close his eyes just yet. "Please...let me look at her a little longer....please..." Unable to fight sleep, Prompto slowly gave in and drifted off, a slight smile on his face. "Cindy...."
The blonde fell into a deep sleep, starting to dream about the girl of his life. However, he soon woke up, feeling the need to see her in real life. He slightly turned his head at her and smiled, seeing her sleep peacefully.
The next morning, Cindy woke up to the wonderful smell of bacon and eggs. However, that wasn't all that's been prepared. "Do I smell..." The girl took a deep breath and took in the wonderful smell before happily breathing out. "Waffles and melted chocolate..."
"Up already?" Prompto appeared in the room with a plate full of delicious foods and smiled. "Hungry?" Cindy quickly nodded. It made Prompto chuckle. He walked up to the still slightly sleepy girl and gently placed the plate on the table.
Cindy looked amazed. "This is...all for me?" She gave Prompto a look in awe. He nodded and smiled, but that smile slowly melted away as he looked at the clockwork. "I've gotta go to the café soon. Got the early shift." It was then Cindy realized she too had to leave for classes. She started to panic. Prompto noticed. "No worries. You're free for the week. I arranged everything. One of your schoolmates insisted on taking notes for you. What's her name again...Err...Hall- Hally?" Cindy chuckled and slightly shook her head. "You must mean Holly." "Yeah! That's the one! Anyway...I've gotta go..."
Cindy quickly got up. "U-Um..." Prompto turned his head. "Hm?" Cindy blushed. "I've...never catched your name..." Prompto chuckled and smiled at the shy girl. "Name's Prompto. Prompto Argentum." Cindy smiled. "Well...Hopefully this won't be our last meeting...Prompto." The blonde boy slightly blushed. The way she said his name was so adorable to him. He then quickly shook his head and smiled. "It won't...Cindy." With that, Prompto left.
Both felt heavenly. Cindy ate the breakfast of her life and gently layed down in bed again. "What a man..."
