Cindy finally got to Prompto. He just stood there, looking in the distance, not even minding the rain that was ruining his hair and drenching his clothes.
"Prompto...? Y'alright?" The boy closed his eyes and sighed. "Why did you do that, Cindy?" The girl tilted her head. "Hm? What do you mean?" Prompto finally turned his head and looked at the now soaked Cindy. She had a worried expression on her face. Prompto felt guilty, but tried to hide it the best he could.
Soon, he continued talking. "Why did you steal my lines?" Now Cindy was completely shook. "What do you mean 'steal' your lines?" The blonde boy walked towards his fellow blonde and held her shoulders, making Cindy's eyes completely wide.
Prompto's expression stayed serious. "I should've been the one, standing there, confessing all those piled up feelings that I have, damning myself for not doing it earlier!" Cindy was left completely speechless.
Before she knew it, Prompto pulled her closer to him. His serious expression slowly changed into a happier one, as he held Cindy. Gently they rocked side to side, as if they were dancing without any music. Prompto closed his eyes and smiled.
"By the Gods, is she beautiful...That silky white dress, flowing perfectly with every movement, that bloodred rose in her hair, that beautiful ribbon...Perfection exists and the Gods want to show me. They show me their angel, their queen, disguised as a mechanic. A sorceress, putting me under her spell. I'm falling hard and I love it. I love her...If only I could tell her. I want to scream it from the rooftops, from the depths of my heart, with all my heart and soul.
Tonight was the night. It was perfect. I held her, our eyes locked. She felt so warm and smooth. I felt blessed. In some way, confused, but I didn't care. All I want is to be by her side, spend the rest of my days with this woman, this...goddess..."
After a long moment of swaying, Prompto cleared his throat and looked at Cindy. "I do...love you, you know? You make me...feel alive...so alive...My life worth living. You're...the light in my darkness..."
Cindy's breath hitched by Prompto's words and gazed into his eyes. Before he knew, she tightly embraced him and placed her head on his racing heart. "Stay with me..." She whispered. Prompto gently took her hands away from his waist and carressed her cheek. "I'll always stay by your side...Cindy, please...be my valentine..." With that, he gently pressed his lips against hers and held her close, keeping her warm from the icey wind and pouring rain.
"Please...don't ever forget me...my goddess..."
