Becoming a Key Blade Master (Riku x reader)

Chapter 10

I finally caught up with Riku as we returned to our room. I was still confused as to what was going on, but I didn't know how to approach Riku about all of this. He seems like he's hurt, from what though? "Riku, um....so do you wanna talk about it or?"

"There is nothing to talk about alright!? Let's just drop it and just try to enjoy the rest of our day." I flinched in surprise by the sudden outburst. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry Riku." He sighed and shook his head. "I shouldn't be yelling at you. Just....I don't like to think about those bastards so let's just drop the subject alright?" I nodded calmly and went into the room to grab a book to read.

The next day was a lot more peaceful since the rain was gone and allowed us to go out for the day. The village nearby the academy was probably the only next best place to find entertainment outside the school. The whole group wanted a break from studying so that meant everyone was going for an outing to this town.

Riku and I were getting ready for the outing until I heard a knock on the door. "Can you get it, (y/n)?" Riku asks as he was pulling off his shirt to put on his hoodie. I opened the door and saw Roxas with Ventus, Axel, and Sora. 

"Hey, the girls are waiting for us at the entrance. We're just waiting for you and Riku to come down with us." I was about to say something when Riku called out for me. "Hey you've seen my shirt? I can't find it." He came by the door to grab me for assistance and saw the guys. "Hey guys, we'll be down in a bit."

The boys were a bit more surprised by the half naked Riku in front of them with me between them. "Man Riku, didn't know you were that bold behind closed doors." Axel teased to him. I blushed at this and was shocked by this. "I-It's not like that!" Riku sighed and flicked Axel's forehead. "Moron, I'm just getting ready for the trip alright?"

He pushes me aside to give me time to dress as well as he distracts them. I went to change into my clothes real quick as well as finding Riku his shirt that he was looking for. Smiling at how quick I was able to find it compared to him going through his own items.

I dressed in a nice (f/c) blouse, (s/f/c) pants, short heels, and had my hair clipped with a large clip that had a(n) (f/flower) decorating it. I grabbed my bag that held my wallet, phone, and a few charms in case we find our way into a fight somehow. Potions, spells, and other enhancers.

Riku had put his shirt on along with his blue jeans, decorated with his black short sleeve hoodie and white long wrist bands around his forearm. He wasn't planning on bringing much as he'd avoid fights as much as possible. But he thinks he'll be fine with just his fighting skills with just his keyblade.

We got down to the entrance of the school and made our way to the village. Going around window shopping, playing games that were around the village, and eating at the food stalls that were there. We had fun and it was coming to the end of the day. The rest of the group were making some last minuet shopping, leaving me and Riku to watch the items we had at a cafe.

"It was a nice day today, huh?" I nodded quietly and smiles. "It was really good weather today." He nod in agreement. It was a calm chat until we heard a low chuckle approach us. "My, my. Riku and (y/n). What are the chances that we'd run into each other here?" Xehanort greeted us.

"Well this is literally the only town near the school in such short notice. So highly likely is my guess." Riku responded with a deadpan tone.

"You're a jokester, Riku. Now aren't you being a bit rude to an old friend?" Xehanort whispers as he leans close to Riku. Riku got mad and stood from where he sat. Glaring at Xehanort to get away from him. "Come on, you and I have history. I'm sure that we can make things work out between us. Especially in front of Miss (y/n)."

"You get away from me! And don't you dare come near (y/n)!" Riku in response brought out his keyblade, ready for a fight. Xehanort smirked and only brought his hands up to fight with spells. They were about to fight, but I didn't want them to create chaos through this. I grabbed Riku's arm to hold him back.

"Don't get into this!" He pushes me down on the ground in retaliation. Sora and the rest of the gang come back in time to stop the fight.

"Riku! Calm down! It's not worth your time!" Ventus said getting between the two of them.

Sora, Xion, and Roxas yell in response saying the same thing. Axel yells things that Riku is being an idiot giving into Xehanort, while Namine and Kairi help me up. Riku was about to say something, but then sees us to realize what he was doing.

Returning his keyblade, he didn't say anything. He only stood there in shock, understanding of what he was doing. Finally, after what felt like forever, he began to run off to town.

"Riku! Where are you going?!" Sora yelled for him.

Before we could try to find him, a sudden downpour came in. We had retreated inside the cafe in order to get some cover, but we didn't see Riku do the same. Only seeing his figure run off into the rain, until he disappeared. 

Where did he go?
