The rain has been pouring for a while now. It's also been a while since Riku had ran away. The whole group was a bit worried about what had happened. I felt like they were holding back something, especially Sora. I approached him and looked at him concerned. "Sora....do you  know why Riku is upset from all of this?" Sora looked at me a bit surprised but then looks over to Xion, Axel, and Roxas.

They all looked back at each other, contemplating on what to say. "Please tell me what's going on. I don't know Riku as well as you guys do, especially you Sora. But I need to know, I'm as close to a friend as you guys are. I care as much as you guys do about him...I'm scared he's hurting and that he's doing this all alone..." I wasn't sure why I started crying, but I found myself on the verge of tears. They saw this and Sora put his hand on my shoulder to reassure me. "I-I'm sure that you'd rather hear it from Riku himself, but all we can say is that....he's made some mistakes he's regretted making. He doesn't really let us see that pain, but we can tell. We want to help, but he never seems to want to take it."

"We worry, but he always seems to reassure us that he's fine. We want to believe him, truly we do. Yet, every time we turn the other way, his usual smile fades away. As if he's putting up a facade to not let us worry." Xion tried to explain to me.

"It's like he's putting on a mask. A smile that isn't his and I think it's hurting more than he intended." Roxas comments.

I look at all of them and the mood turns cold. I'm tired of waiting for the rain to die down and find him. I'll find him myself! I stood up from my seat and went to the front door with one of the umbrellas the cafe lent to their patrons. "(y/n), where are you going?" Namine asked as she noticed me leaving. "I'm going to find Riku. He could probably use a friend." I say as I left the cafe.

It took a while to find my way around the village. It was easy to mistake a house for another house I had passed earlier. Getting lost in an alleyway to another alleyway, but nowhere close to finding Riku. The rain wasn't going to let up, but I found my way to an opening under a railway. Almost bridge like, but connects the two roads in a small passage. I made my way to it and saw a familiar figure sitting against one of its walls. "Riku?"

Riku looked up at me surprised by my presence but calms down after realizing it was me. "Hey."

"I was looking for you, ya know. The others are worried about you."

"Nothing new really. Especially Kairi, she worried about me and Sora a bunch when we were kids."

"They also told me that you might have run off because of something that happened between you and the Xehanorts? I know maybe you don't want to really talk about it, but it might help you feel better. Letting it off your chest helps compared to holding it all to yourself." He looked at me, not really showing much emotion. As if contemplating the decisions on whether or not he should lay out his thoughts to me.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, but my offer always stands if you ever need to talk your feelings out. I'll be here to lend an ear if you're alright with it?" I say as I looked at him with a warm smile.

He just chuckles at this and looks over to me. "You know, I always feel calm around you. Why is that?" He sighed and explained everything to me. How he had fallen into the darkness of his heart, worked with Xehanort, fought his friends, betrayed and left people behind, and tons of other mistakes he had made in the past. "I just... I've made so many mistakes with them. I want to leave it all behind, but they keep crawling back to me. Why can't they just leave me alone?"

I wasn't sure of what to say, or what to do. Yet, I wanted to give him the counseling he needed. "I think that maybe you shouldn't think too much about it. These people are going to continue to try and find you, the real challenge is how you're going to confront them when that comes? I think...I think Mickey would say that we should keep moving forward with our lives. Even when mistakes keep crawling around us. We have to learn from our mistakes."

He looked at me and shrugged. "What do I do then when it all doesn't work out?"

"It'll work out. You have friends to help you. Like Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Namine, Ventus, and even Axel! You have me too. We're here for you Riku. Why not let us help you?"

He stayed quiet about all of this and looked away thinking about it. There was a silence between us, but the good kind. He wanted to think about it and nodded. "I'll know who to go to then, but you'll have to remind me once and a while alright?" I nodded and smiled. "I promise."

The sun was coming out and displayed the beautiful sunset this land was known for. It was wonderful, especially after the talk we just had. Riku smiled and admired the sunset that was in front of us.

"Let's get back to the academy. We've had a long day."
