Chapter Fifteen

SONA'S P.O.V.

Those 3 months were the most painful ones of my life..........Sameer had finally managed to track down Ele, and now he was trying to get through to me by pressurizing her..........but when it came to my safety, she was always a fighter...........she refused to divulge any details to him and made sure she kept me away from his sight.........

We had hardly managed to settle in Ved's apartment when circumstances forced Ele to move out and get back to the college hostel........she had started her college again as it was necessary for one of us to complete our degree to get a decent job and earn a living.........currently I was not in a state to do anything, hence it was upto Ele to be the working one.........but Sameer happened to spot her around the college.........that was enough for him to follow her everywhere and ask her about me..........he wanted to get to me anyhow, it didn't matter to which method he resorted..........he had become worst then a psychopath.....

The night when I went into labor, I had started feeling contractions way before the final moment........I had also managed to call Ele beforehand, but she couldn't come to me as Sameer was keeping an eye on her.......she feared if she tried to get to me he would also track me down and that would mean harm to both me and my unborn.........

Troubles didn't cease then and there.......we couldn't even wait for Ved to send us help and had to manage on our own........we went to a very low profile hospital so that he shouldn't be able to track us down easily.........I had hardly managed to deliver my child safely when I was told that she had a brain development issue which meant she could be mentally retarded, or maybe her brain wouldn't grow alongside her age..........ofcourse how would she be fully fine.........did I just forget the mighty fall I had in my 6th month when I collided with Ved's car?..........this was all a result of that.........

Doctor please........save my daughter.........I have no one in this world apart from her.........do something.........please treat her.........doctor!!!!!

My tears refused to stop..........they kept flowing like a river without a dam..........the doctor just walked out ignoring my pleas.........ofcourse why would he even bother listening to me.......he had just done a big favor for me by allowing me to deliver my child in his hospital.......afterall they all considered my Pia to be illegitimate..........

Sona.........he's here...........we have to do something........

Ele came rushing in as I got scared looking at her panic stricken face..........she was pale and was trying to get through to.........I guess Ved..........I had a slight idea about whom she was talking a while ago, but I hoped against all hopes that it shouldn't be him..........I cannot risk my child in that monster's hand........

Whom are you talking about?.........is it Sameer?..........are you talking about Sameer, Ele?..........how did he get here?...........how did he get to know?

I had been living with false identity for the past 3 months..........it was impossible for him to track us so easily.........but he did.........how was that even possible.........did he have some contacts with this hospital too?
