I laughed at something Saylor said as my phone started to vibrate in my pocket. I stopped jogging to answer it. It was Maddison. "Shit." I said realizing it was 7:15. "Maddison, I am so sorry, I am on my way right now." I said quickly into the phone.

"Okay." I heard her sigh into the phone.

"Maddison?" Saylor asked turning her nose up in disgust as I hit end and slid my phone back into my pocket.

"Yeah, I'm taking her to a movie night at Jayden's and I'm late. Lost track of time, I guess."

"Way to go, Drunk-Boy." She said quietly this time.

"Something wrong?" I asked her confused.

"Just be careful. Maddison's got a reputation."

"You don't need to look out for me."

"You're right. I don't. But I'm just giving you the heads up."

"Got it." I said pissed off. I can't tell her Ryan's an ass but she can tell me that Maddison's not the best person?
"I'm not trying to tell you that you can't hang out with her, it's your own life and it's none of my business but I know Maddison and I know she's a handful."

"You can tell me she's a handful when you realize that Ryan's a douche."

"Get over it, Noah."

"Will do." I snapped before jogging off towards my house.

It was 7:40 by the time I pulled into Maddison's driveway. I watched as she walked down the front sidewalk in a tight miniskirt and a low-cut top. I bit my lip, enjoying the view. "Hey, I am so sorry." I said as she opened the door and slid into the car.

"I'll let it slide this once." She smirked as she leaned in and kissed me. I held her face as her tongue begged for entrance. I deepened it, extending the amount of time we were late to Jayden's. She finally pulled away and smiled as I put the car in reverse and backed out of her driveway.

"About time." Jayden said as we walked into his living room. The couch was already taken by him, Grace, Tyler and Lydia. Kyle was in the recliner with Ava. That left the floor for Maddison and I. I sat up against the couch and Maddison followed as I swung my arm around her. They were already half way through the movie Elf.

I walked Maddison to her door after we left Jayden's. "Thanks for coming with." I put my hands in my pockets, glancing at her.

"Thanks for inviting me." She kissed my cheek.

I turned my head and kissed her on the lips. "I'll see you later." I said as I pulled away. She wasn't in my plan two days ago but this felt good.

Christmas was over and break was winding down but it was New Year's eve and I had an exciting day planned for Maddison and I. I was taking her to an afternoon movie, dinner, and then we were going to go to a party. I stood in front of the mirror as I buttoned up my shirt and ran my fingers through my hair.

As we walked towards the theater, I slipped my hand into Maddison's. She glanced at me and smiled. We were seeing the new Star Wars movie.

After purchasing our tickets, we headed towards the concession stand. Our hands were still intertwined as I heard this voice that was all too familiar to me. I glanced over my shoulder to see Saylor and Ryan standing in line. Out of all days and all the movie times, it had to be right now.
