I sat there thinking about what had just happend. I could hear my breathing echo through the forest. I felt my heart constantly bounce in my chest as if it tried to escape.

"That makes this the 4th time I've almost died since I got here." I thought, "That also makes it the 4th time something supernatural has happened."

It started writing in my journal, "Monsters seem to be afraid of loud noises." I saved my notes and opened to a completely new section. A place to order my thoughts. A place to find a peace of mind, " I'm starting to think that there may be something weirder about me than I thought." And that was all I wrote in there. I sentence is all I need everyday and I thought I should be fine. After that I save it and walk over to Eden.

"You know that was very reckless of you Eden, did you know that?" I told her

She slowly put her head down. I felt guilty.

"It's okay girl," I told her, "that was really brave of you. You're the best friend I could ever have." It's kind of sad that a "dog" is more of a friend to me than someone I've known for 10 years. "Thanks David." None the less it's nice to have the company.

"I won't be able to go back to sleep now." I looked at the time, "1: 26 a.m"

I sat up and stared looking up at the sky. It almost seemed like the sky never changed.  In the morning it would just be a little brighter and in the night it would be a little darker. Somehow I felt safer in the place i was than i had ever been before. Because the world I knew was rotten. Full of fake people, fake emotions, and fake experiences. In fact, I bet the reason why we remember things better than it was is because we already know that the moment wasn't that great. The pictures weren't needed. That event wasn't that exciting. You didn't need to bring it up in a conversation. You lied to yourself.

But the world I was in was different. It made me feel something I hadn't felt in a long time...excitement. I didn't want to admit it to myself but I liked the rush. The fact that I could run and nothing got in my way. The air was cleaner than to gas filled up one on Earth. The things that could live in the environment were more beautiful than even the most imaginative minds could make up. And I always felt calm here. Even though I would find myself in the most dangerous situations after a couple minutes I return to what I was doing before. I haven't thought about the 10 people I saw die in front of me my first day here either. It felt nice. I like nice things.

I sat in the same position for quite a while. The cool air brushed my face as I stared off into the distance. As every once in a while the sound of monsters near by jerked my a little bit. I got up and walked toward the trees.

"It was nice knowing you." I said to myself as I grabbed my ax and started tearing apart at the bark that was in front of me.

It had been about 4 hours since I started gathering wood. At this point I had about 100 logs just laying on the floor. I took another hour of my time to rip off any branches or leave and put them in a different pile. The last 2 hours of this process was used to cut each log into strips. It was around 8:00 o'clock when I was done. At that point Eden was already up and was just walking around the perimeters of our "base" almost like a guard dog. I had no idea what to do next. I was planning on moving our "base" to the trees where we would be protected from most of the monsters. I thought back to all the episodes of Treehouse Masters I had a faze with and began working.

I started by cutting holes big enough to hold another plank in every other plank. I used 8 planks as the foundation of house intertwining it with the sturdier branches from trees near by. Plank by plank I started putting the house together using mud to stick the planks together. It took me about 2 and a half hours to finish the boxy part of the house. But it was taking me a lot of time to get from the house to the floor then too the house again.

"Eden!" She turned her head to me and ran over. "Can you get me a the big rock?" I didn't know if she knew what that was but she ran and came back. She didn't have anything with her. But it's not like I didn't see it coming. But just as I was about to start going down from the house again Eden opened her mouth and threw a big rock to me which I caught.

"Good girl!!!" I told her as she wagged her tail. I held the rock and continued with the houses roof. After another hour and a half I was finally done. It was 9:47 a.m when I finished. I quickly made some finishing touches where I added some steps to get up and some leaves on the floor of the house. I got down from the house and looked proudly at what I  accomplished. The fact that the trees where beautiful on there own made me okay with it's appearance.  I moved all my stuff inside and call Eden inside to introduce her to our new home.

After all of that constructing was done I did my normal routine. I did my jumping jacks, burpees, push ups, training, and my usual mapping of the area with Eden. I added an extra thing to my agenda which was my aim. With that, my day was over and I was off to bed.
