~Louis~

Noah and I were at my place getting ready for the party. I decided to dress somewhat better than usual. I decided to wear some dark skinny jeans and a mint green muscle t-shirt that had an anchor on it. I put on some black vans and I tamed my hair.

We soon pulled up in the Fuentes' driveway and there were many cars. We walked towards the entrance and we walked in and we made our way through the crowd towards nowhere in particular. We were then in a clear area and we stood there.

"Louis!" I heard an unfamiliar voice say. I turned around to see Mel's friend whose name I don't know. How does she know my name?

"Hey," I said.

"Hey. Im Jenna. Melissa never introduced me to you so I thought I would," she said and looked over at Noah.

"Hey, I'm Noah," he said putting his hands in his pockets awkwardly.

"Hey, I'm Jenna."

"You already said your name," he chuckled.

"I'm trying to be polite!"

"Sure."

"Where's Mel?" I asked.

"She's somewhere and I don't know where exactly. Want a drink?"

"Sure," I said and she left.

"I saw the way she stared at you," I told Noah smacking his chest while I smirked.

"I'm not interested in her," he shrugged.

"Well she's interested in you," I said raising my brows.

"I'm not gonna fuck her. She doesn't seem like the girls that want a one night type of thing," he said.

She soon came back and handed us a cup each.

"Vodka," she remarked.

"Thanks," I said taking a gulp. I finished it quickly and Jenna said something I couldn't catch.

"What'd you say?" I asked.

"Do you want to go somewhere and hang?"

"Sure," Noah said.

"You two can go. I will be there but I need to go do something first," I said and they nodded. They walked away and I walked around. I came across the back door and I walked outside. I saw a group of people sitting in a circle and I walked past them towards the shed.

There were a few people in the pool.

"Louis, whats up?" I heard Toni say. He was right by the shed as well.

"Nothing. What are you doing here? I thought you would be wasted by now," I said.

"My mom called so I had to as far as possible so that she wouldn't suspect about us having a party. What are you doing here by the shed and not partying? Did you come alone?"

"I just felt like being outside, its very hot inside. Noah came, he's with Jenna." I didn't want to tell him that I was looking for Melissa.

"Oh. Well Melissa is over there," he said glancing to the group of people sitting in a circle.

"Uhh thanks," I said.

"Your welcome. I have to go inside now," he said and walked away.

I looked over to the group of people and I saw Mel and some guy kiss. I dropped my cup with alcohol in it. I felt pain in my chest, or should i say heart. I should've not come to the party.

Why do I feel like this?

I immediately walked away not bothering to pick up the cup I had dropped. I walked inside and looked for Noah. I bumped into someone and when I looked up I saw a girl around my age and she had blond hair, and she was tan.

"Sorry," I said scratching the back of my neck.

"It's okay. I've never seen you around here. Are you new?"

"Sorta."

"Here, have a drink," she said handing me a cup.

"Thanks," I said and I finished it all right away.

"Want another one?" she asked. I nodded and she handed me another one. I took it and walked away. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a whole bottle and went outside. I sat behind the shed so I wouldn't be seen.

Why am I acting like this?

It shouldn't affect me much. It's not like Mel would have a crush on me. Why the hell would she pay attention to me? It's just a stupid crush. It'll go away.

I popped the bottle cap off and took a sip letting the liquid burn my throat.

"Louis?" I looked up to find Noah standing there looking down at me.

"Noah! I thought I would be alone," I said. He sat down next to me with a red cup in his hand.

"I saw you walk over here so I followed you. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I am," I said.

"You don't seem like it. Tell me what's wrong," he said.

"Where did Jenna go?"

"She's with some friends. Whats wrong? Answer me. I know something's up," he said.

"Mel kissed someone," I replied softly.

"I knew it! I knew you had a crush on her!" he said throwing his arms in the air accidentally throwing his cup in the air. I shot him a glare and he put his arms down and cleared his throat.

"I mean, are you sure it's what you're thinking? Where was that?"

"Over there in the group of people."

"She isn't there, I never saw her there, maybe you're just imagining things."

"I'm telling you it was her! I know how she looks like!"

"Then go look for her," he said rolling his eyes.

"Fine," I huffed and walked away towards the house.

I was about to turn around and go back to the shed but I heard Mel call my name. Great.

"What?" I said.

"I haven't seen you. Lets go outside where the fresh air is," she suggested. I followed her outside and we walked over to the picnic tables.

"Why do you want to be outside?" I asked.

"Would you rather be in a hot place full of sweaty people? I don't think so," she laughed.

"What if I liked it in there?" I snapped.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing. Everything is perfect," I lied.

"Tell me," she pressed.

"I saw a girl that I like kiss someone," I murmured looking into her eyes. For a second I thought I saw pain in her eyes.

"Who?" she asked.

"Why do you want to know? Does it bother you?"

"No, I was just wondering," she said and she looked upset.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"A boy I like doesn't like me. He likes someone else. I don't think he looks at me the way I see him and it hurts. I just wish he would feel the same way. He just sees me as a friend," she said muttering the last few words. My heart began to race. I had a feeling she was talking about me. But why did she kiss someone else? I didn't care at the moment.

I collided my lips onto hers and kissed her. She kissed me back and I felt sparks everywhere.
