~Keith's POV~
I made my move at the right time. That crazy broad was about to kill....that really annoying brat. Yeager and I finally reached my office. I opened the door and showed him in. Once we were both in the room I shut the door behind us.
"Alright Yeager, take a seat." I said
He didn't say a single word back to me. He did as I told him. I sat down behind my desk, and poured myself a drink. I put two ice cubes into a separate glass.
"Here, have a glass of Sake. It'll calm your nerves." I said
He gladly accepted the drink. When he took the first sip he instantly relaxed.
"Sir, this Sake is amazing. Such a smooth taste." He said
I chuckled a bit at that.
"It's one hundred and fifty years old. Aged to perfection. So as you may very well know, I never intended for you to eat that food, correct?" I asked
He nodded in response, then took another small sip from the glass.
"I don't understand why you did what you did though." He said
Hmm, this kid's smarter than he lets on. Reminds me of another brat I used to know. What was his name? Ah yes, Levi Heichou. The little shorty went on to become a Captain in the Scouts. Humanity's Strongest is a short little clean freak.
"Look Eren, I did what I did because I needed to be sure if giving you this advice wasn't going to be a waste of my time. From what I observed this evening, I think this won't waste my time." I said
He looked confused.
"Sir, what advice are you going to give me?" He asked
I chuckled a bit more.
"Yeager, I'm here to tell you how to talk to girls. You absolutely died earlier today. I saw you bullshit your way out of talking to her." I said
I saw him instantly turn red. This kid was a riot.
"Sir, why do you even care about helping me?" He asked
I rubbed my eyes in frustration.
"Because I don't want to see you keep shooting yourself in the foot. Do you want my damned advice, or do you want to possibly lose all your chances with this girl?" I asked
He shut his mouth and set the glass aside.
"What can you tell me?" He asked
I smiled for once.
"You've got to stop being so insecure. Right now she's made every move, and you haven't picked up on them. If you don't start making any attempts to show your interest, she'll eventually quit trying. Take the time to get to know her also. It's better to be friends first before you start dating. That way there's a stronger chance for the relationship to last. Lastly, don't sit back and hope things fall into place. You've got to work for this one. That's my best advice." I said
Eren thanked me, and then got up to leave. He turned around and finished his Sake before he turned to leave.
"Before you leave, tell me something." I said
He stopped and looked back to me.
"Sir?" He asked
"Are you positive that she's worth putting in the work to get her?" I asked
He smiled that cocky ass smile again.
"Without a doubt." He said
I laughed then gave him a thumbs up. He turned and left the office. I watched from the window as he ran into the men's barracks.
"Well, he might stand a chance now." I said
I walked back to my desk and pulled out a photo of me when I was in training with the girl that I admired.
"Don't fuck up like I did." I said
I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I wiped it away, and then put back on my stone faced facade. I have to just let it go.
