Chapter 1~ Flashbacks

Naruto

“It’s over… it’s finally over...” I said lowly, still in the state of shock. I looked around, seeing my comrades fallen in battle, faces of those in horror, and others showing victory on them. Personally, I don’t know how to feel, victorious, the horror, even the mourning of my comrades. “Naruto” a man said, I couldn’t tell who it was right away; after all, I was lost in thought. I turned around and saw my edo tensei father, Minato, standing before me. “Naruto, it’s time to release the jutsu. Our job here is done…” my father began. “But before I go, I want you to know that I’m proud of you; your mother would be proud of you. You did good son, just remember in war, comrades will fall. But you mustn’t blame yourself. You did the best you could and so did they. Your comrades did not die in vain, I can guarantee you that.” he said, with a heart whelming smile. I couldn’t help but smile back, tears threatening to come out. He is my father and he knows exactly what I’m thinking. I have only met him a couple of times, but despite the times he was never to be there for me, this made up for all of them. And this time I feel as if I will never get to see him again, well until I die. I wiped a few tears that fell. “You shouldn’t cry, Naruto. A shinobi must never show tears” he joked. “I’m not crying! I just got some dust or sand in my eye, that’s all!” I shouted, still rubbing my eyes.

He just smiled, “well, it’s my time to go now Naruto, try not to be as reckless in the future” dad said. I looked up and smiled at him. Out of all the time we spent together, I feel like I known him my whole life. “Thanks dad. Before you go, I want you to know something as well” I began. “You and mom are the best parents a boy can have, even though you were never actually there for me physically, you were there mentally. And out of all the times I met you guys, I feel as though I grew up with you my whole life. I’m glad to be your son! Believe it!” I said, a huge smile plastered on my face, and my fist in the air. He smiled back at me, a sincere and longing one. And as soon as I was done giving my ‘speech’ the jutsu was released, separating us once again, though this time it would last longer.

My head snapped back to reality. I took in the view of where I was. Standing on the balcony of my new office, I was watching the construction of the village. It’s been about two years since the last war, things have changed. For example… drum roll please!!.....I became the sixth hokage! Amazing right?! Granny handed down the job to me, saying I can do it. I still have her help me every now and then, but that all depends on a lot of things. Like drinking, or being too lazy, and better yet; when she’s angry… that’s when I get Sasuke to help. Yup you heard right! Sasuke came back to the village with us! He’s my right hand man; he’s also a part of the ANBU. Kakashi-sensei helps out sometimes. Even though I am the hokage, team 7 still hangs out together. We just don’t go on missions like we used to. And yes; I’m still trying to pursue Sakura-chan. Oh a year ago, a new girl came to the village. What was her name…? Oh I remember now! It was Aria Kuma! Man, she’s a beauty; but not as beautiful as my Sakura-chan!

"Naruto!" a familiar female yelled. When i turned around to see who it was, i saw Sakura-chan. "Yes Sakura-chan?" "Stop messing around and get back to work!" she said with fire in her eyes. That can make any man scared of her! "Y-Yes o-okay!"i said and ran back to my seat, continuing the mound of paperwork i still had to do.
