Your POV

Today's Monday again, which was also the day Dinah will rant about how her weekend with Antony went. I honestly know nothing about anything that had happened because the whole weekend, she didn't even bother to text me a single letter. Probably too busy doing whatever they're doing.

I sat down at our usual table and waited for people to show up. A while later, Dinah finally came into sight and plopped down across from me. I didn't even bother to greet her and went straight into business. "How did it go?"

"I have a new boyfriend," she smiled happily.

"Nice." I felt genuinely happy for her, even though I totally don't sound enthusiastic about it. I mean, she does look like she's falling hard for this guy this time, so I'm glad that they're together now. Let's hope that he's the one.

"How was your weekend?" I asked curiously.

"Eventful," she said as she nodded slowly.

I raised my eyebrows at her and pushed further. "What's eventful?"

"We went to an amusement park on Saturday. Sunday was pretty chill, we watched Netflix and cuddled the whole day," she said, a content smile forming on her lips.

"No sex? Wow, consider me surpris--"

But Dinah cut me off and casually said, "Oh, we did have sex."

I shook my head with a small smile. Spoke too soon. I didn't even have time to finish my sentence.

Two figures showed up next to Dinah, which turned out to be Ally and Normani. We both greeted them as they sat down and pulled out their lunch.

"Okay, we'll continue the next lunch break. Normani will be able to handle this, but little Allysus is too innocent for the details."

I gave her a 'the fuck?'-look. "And I'm not?"

"No," Dinah simply answered. I wanted to argue to that but decided it wasn't worth the effort.

Ally looked between us with a face of confusion. "Do I even want to know what you guys are talking about?"

Dinah and I looked at each other and spoke up the same time, "Nope."

I glanced around to see if I could spot a certain someone. It just surprises me that Camila isn't here because I would expect her to be. My eyes landed on her a few tables further away, by the cheerleaders.

Sometimes, I'd forget that she's a cheerleader too because she's... I don't know, different? from most of them and it's not really common for them to hang out with losers.

Am I calling myself a loser? Yeah, okay, I'm not necessarily lame, but I definitely won't call myself one of the cool kids. I'm too nerdy, shy and introverted for that. Dinah can actually be defined as a cool kid, but she just prefers to hang out with us.

Lunch carried on with everyone doing their own thing, all three of them are on their phones while I'm just staring at nothing. I do that quite often actually. Sometimes it can be nice to just focus on nothing and let my mind wander to wherever it takes me to. It's like finding peace and silence in rowdy places, I don't know why, but I'm always tempted to do that.

Suddenly I felt someone's gaze on me, so I turned my head to lock eyes with that person.

I glanced behind me to check if maybe she's looking at someone else, but there was nothing behind me except for the tree. So I slowly raised my eyebrows at Camila, but she just gave me a sweet smile in return.

That was weird, right? Why do I catch her staring or just looking my way so often lately?

-

Classes flew by and soon it was the second lunch break. I walked over to the table and saw Dinah enthusiastically waving me over.
