Chapter two

As we run the nerves I had all disappear. I feel him behind me and I start to speed up and he sees this as a challenge.

~down to the river?~

He howls and that's when I book it. 20 minutes later we get to the river and I start jumping around in my wolf form. Brian just lays down tired and I cant help but feel bad. I start nuzzling him and he gets up quickly throwing me into the river. I swim and growl and him and of course he gives me a wolfy grin. I get out of the water and shakes my whole body wetting him. He then jumps on me and nip at my ear play fighting . After hours of just talking, play fighting and relaxing we head back to the castle.

"You know Brian, who ever becomes your mate is going to be such a lucky person."

"Same to you Princess, good night Isabel."

I say good night back and walk to my room. Tomorrow will be a full moon. Maybe I will find my mate.

Next day

I wake up and after stretching I remember its my birthday and I run downstairs after changing. I see everyone sitting down for breakfast and what they see me they all sing happy birthday. I couldn't have a better family and friends. After breakfast my mom rushes me into my room and grabs one of our personal maids, Lola , and they start getting me ready for the ball. Lola does my hair down in wavy curls and does two small braids into a little crown and my mom puts enough makeup to make my natural features stand out. Hours pass and finally my mom and Lola stand back and tweaks a few thing before finally helping me put the beautiful dress on. Lola begans tearing up and right before I look in the mirror my mom stops me.

"Dont look I'm missing one more thing"

Lola gives my mom a case and out she pulls the only tiara she would never let me touch. I bow my head and she lifts my chin up.

"Your Highness, you didn't such an amazing job"

"I couldn't have done it without you Lola"

I finally turn and I gasp. I look... beautiful. I give a twirl and you can see in there faces held pride for what they had done for me. I see my mom eyes go a bit cloudy knowing she's mind linking my dad and she nods.

Its time.

Walking to my spot I can hear the crowd to silent and Robert announces my parents and finally me and Brian. He stands by me as my future beta should protecting me. We've known we weren't mates since this morning, I was a little sad slightly hoping but that would have taken a miracle to pair us. As we walk together I smell a intoxicating sent. It smelled like caramel with a slight forest sent. My wolf grace awaken and tries to talk control but I know not to let her, not now. I sense Brian tense up and he mind links me.

~ Is it just me or are you smelling that too~

~Brian .... I think we just found our mates~

He looks at me and smiles and I cant help but smile back. I want to find him I want to run to my mate and engulf him in a hug. Right when we were about to be set free my father states one more announcement.

"Ladies and Gentlemen please to introduce the Eastern King James and his lovely Queen Elizabeth and their son Prince Evan."

Its him... its the prince. My mother wishes me happy birthday once more with the crowd and everyone soon starts to go back to what they were doing before. I jog towards Evan and pull him to the side. I look into Evan's beautiful brown eyes and cant help but put my hand to touch his face. He leans into my touch and sparks erupt. We look at one another eyes and lean in but we are stopped by a females voice.

"Evan? What are you doing?"

Right when im about to answer he looks at her and she grabs on to his arm. I growl and I hear another growl behind me.

"Mate"

Both Evan and the female look at us and move closer together, him holding her waist. I cant help to growl and neither can Brian .

Evan tried to look strong but I could feel through the bond... he was in pain. "I... E-Evan of the East Kingdom, reject... Isabel of the north kingdom... as my mate."

I was about to fall if it wasn't for Brian being there behind me holding me up.. His face was in pure horror as he knew what was coming his way....

"Can I-I get your name?" She looked at him and he was about to break down right next to me. Its illegal to conceal your name if your about to get rejected, its to save those who have mates that are truly evil or have been abusive... and Brian was far.... far from evil.

"My name is Bri-"

"I command you to not say your name!"

I have never used my future queen voice at Brian ... never.... but I had to to stop this.

"Why.... why are you both doing this, we have just met and you already want us gone."

The girl looked at Evan and looked down, waiting for him to speak.

"The moon goddess can control how you feel... with whoever she chooses. She makes you do crazy things just because of the wolf inside us. Not how we choose. Me and Maggie.. we want to choose our mates and make our wolfs love each other, just like they are trying to make us fall for one another Isabel."

"I have been waiting for you Prince Evan!!! I've been waiting for this day and be as happy as almost all the couples mated together are!! You explain to me why they are so happy and wish they were never away from there mate but for a moment.... The moon goddess gave us our rejection law only for emergencies... I am not evil. I am not a slut. I am not made for anyone else but you. You may want to ruin our relationship and I just don't give a damn anymore... but don't break the heart of my future beta. We can both see and feel it clearly enough that you didn't want to reject me and she still doesn't want to reject him. Dont push her into this nonsence."

They look at each other and nod. She walks to Brian and I release the breath I've been holding in and she holds Brian hands in front of her. But then hell breaks loose from her next words.

"Your name please... future beta"
