"Jeongguk, I think we should talk-" Taehyung started, placing a gentle hand on the boy's shoulder. He had just arrived from a mission, his body was clearly tense, but yet he stayed up late to work. Taehyung mended his hand into the worked muscles in Jeongguk's shoulder. His muscles tensed and rippled underneath his skin.

"Theres nothing to talk about, Tae." Jeongguk mumbles, his focus going to the papers again, his eyes landing smoothly on the words he had read over thrice already. "But that feels nice." His eyes were starting to burn, hardly noticeable, but still a bother to the boy.

Taehyung found his harsh behavior like a door slammed in his face, but he continued to talk.

"We barely know about each other, Jeongguk we need to at least discuss interests." Taehyung mumbled in disbelief, but he smiled as Jeongguk let out a heavy sigh and twirled in his chair to face Taehyung.

"Ask away." Jeongguk placed his black ink pen down and looked at the other, who seemed to be fidgeting, thinking of something good to know, most likely. Taehyung could ask anything, so he needed to make it count.

"How did you get into the mafia, oh- what were you like before the mafia?- do you even like the mafia?"

Jeongguk just gave a lazy smirk as Taehyung spilled out questions about the way he came to be, the leader of a dangerous mafia gang.

"Well, in high school," Jeongguk began, loving the way he felt Taehyung's eyes staring into his frame, like he was paying attention to everything, every little emotion, every little hint of feeling when he spoke.

"I was a daredevil when I was young, Taehyung." Jeongguk chuckled to himself, tapping his foot on the ground as he ran a hand through his hair. "I listened to everyone's vile requests and performed them with excellence. So, when my dearest buddy, dared me to leave me house at a ripe 3:58am, I did. I remember it like it was yesterday, the air was cold but I wandered the streets like an idiot. Next thing I know, I'm being smothered by some powerful mafia god and all I could do was squirm and scream and cry. Growing up from there wasn't always the easiest, being pushed to the bottom of the food chain immediately because i'm just "dog meat". Which is what they called me." He laughed. "But soon I learned to kill and take what was in my way. So, I took the leadership. You learn to like what you hate, Taehyung, or else there will be nothing to like."

Taehyung's mouth was ajar, he never knew Jeongguk could spill so much information at once.

"I'm sorry you had to experience it terribly." Taehyung murmured out supportively, his eyes shining with small amounts of passion towards the boy's story.

"Tell me, how'd you get into the first mafia group you were in?"

Taehyung gulped.

"Well, My parents were always quite involved I myself had never heard of the business. I loved them a lot, so I trusted them- I trusted them when they took me into their group's base and showed me around. They got me used to the layout and I learned at a young age about all of this. I should have just stayed away from all of this in the first place. But I don't think I'm in a bad place right now." Taehyung practically purred.

Taehyung smiled at him and leaped onto his bed, the mattress bouncing up and down, supporting his weight.

"Your bed is soft, it smells clean."

Jeongguk quirked a brow before crossing his arms in amusement.

"Since you like it so much, you should sleep in it with me tonight."
