A Fantastical Daydream

His hand trailed along my jaw, long fingers leaving ice against my skin

His lips curved into the brightest smile known to mankind, filling my soul with his light

With one more step my back was against the corner, but in no way was I trapped

His other hand set itself on my waist, causing the electricity in the air to spark

Without warning he dipped his head to kiss me with tenderness

Suddenly sparks were everywhere as the gods of man praised us

Music flowed from our heartbeats drumming fast from the pressure

It lasted for an eternity and a microsecond until he pulled away

We couldn't stop smiling, the change we had been awaiting finally met us

Flowers grew around our feet as birds that weren't there sang for our joy

Finding him was the best thing to happen to me in a long time

Out of all the chaos surrounding us, he stood strong and steady

I've braved long trials and faced strong winds for this moment

Then reality snaps back in and it's just me alone in my dreams
