Day of Prom 11:35 am

Jophiel POV

I finally was able to relax as Dani , My aunt Daniellee who is Married to My Uncle Emir, my dads younger brother.
Who is also my hair dresser, scrubbed my hair of all the dirt, and oil that had built up in my thick locks I call my hair.

I couldn't wait for this moment right here. Being mixed with Jamaican, Cuban and Creole, was the cause of my thick mane. This was the only part I loved ,when coming to the beauty salon, besides seeing the finished look.
I dreaded getting under the hair dryer. I know I'm not the only one who caught a headache whenever, I sat under the dryer too long.
I was distracted from my thoughts when i heard my Auntie Dani's voice.
"So how does your dress look Phi ?"
"You Gonna Have To Wait just like everybody else"! My Bestfriend Kody "koko" who is more like my sister, said while sitting under the dryer laughing.
"She won't let anyone See it" she laughed again
I smirked because I knew it was the truth. Call me over the top , but I had dreamt of this day, ever since I stepped foot into elementary school, and I had waited 12 long years for this moment .

"I seen it already" my younger sister by 11 months, Ariel said while laughing also
"Phi,! I thought you said you didn't show anyone" koko exclaimed with a small pout.
"What do you expect Ko, Ariel is her Sister" Aaliyah my twin brother's girlfriend said from the dryer across from koko.

"You Would think Phi and Ari were the twins!" Aaliyah continued.
Everyone started laughing even My mom and Aunt Azeri, who were too engrossed in their own conversation to pay attention to what we were talking about.
It was The truth though, if it weren't for Ariel being 11 months younger and me and Raphael my twin looking just alike you would think we were the twins.
My Aunt Azeri who is Aaliyah's mom owned the beauty salon along with others and a chain of barbershops along the south. Especially here in our home city New Orleans. Almost every other corner you seen Azeri's plastered on the Wall or Door of the buildings. My Aunt Azeri and Mom aren't related by blood they've known each other their whole life since they had grew up together since they were young. I never knew the back story though.

Me and my sister smirked at one another and I knew we were both thinking the same thing. It was a gift my mom would call it. Me and all 4 of my siblings and Father had that in common. We always knew what each other was feeling or thinking. It was scary sometimes but after 19 years I got used to it. It was Worst for my twin brother and younger sister though. If me or my twin got a whopping or hurt ourselves the other would feel it. My twin was The hardheaded reckless one growing up. From scraping his knees from falling off the four-wheelers or trying to follow behind my older brothers he always was getting us both hurt to this day. He calmed down a whole lot since he officially got with Aaliyah, and I was beyond grateful for her being the cause of him maturing. Payback was a bitch once i got my menstrual cycle at 12. Sometimes I would go without taking pain medicine just so my brother could feel it. I think that's part of the reason my brother worshipped the ground i walked on , beside the fact that we were joined together in a sack for 8 1/2 months. My sister on the other hand got the short end of the stick, while me and Raphael only felt Eachothers pain , she would bruise or welp up from any of the pains we felt.

As I finally made it to the dryer I sat down while dreading the hour and a half I had left of sitting under this hot ass thing.
Ariel came and sat down beside and me and the girls were finally able to talk. Being that the dryers were sectioned off and they had a whole other drying room just in case this room got packed. I know my aunt got money, lol.

Today was the day of our Senior Prom. I knew McKnight High Prom was going to be Turnt, it had been the past couple years, so it was a must it was this year! Me and my girls were gonna be the hottest walking , don't get me wrong McKnight High had by far some of the prettiest girls going there, but they just weren't us.
