A Fresh Start

I woke up in an unknown bed, in an unknown home, with people me new to me. I didn't expect this to happen to me, scared and alone I thought I was a grown up that can fend for herself. Hayato my first love ended up being a lie, he left me, blocked me from his life, and as look back at everything that has happened he lied to me. I was in this room speaking to a house maid tell her everything that had happened to me. Her expression change from slightly angered to upset to furious. She made me feel comfortable like a mom, she cared for me, caressed my hair, and hugged me tightly as if she'd never let go.

" Sophia, thank you for hearing me out. I felt so alone and used, I felt like I was a worthless human being. "

Sophia looked at my teary face and responded

" Young Miss you're not alone anymore, and that boy isn't meant to have a wonderful spirit like you. He was gonna use you like a rag and toss you away. Just make sure to thank the Young Master. "

I looked at Sophia and replied

" Why do you call him Young Master, are you his own personal maid? "

Sophia looked a bit worried finding the words to say without making things too awkward.

" Well yes and no. You see the Young Master's parents..... they have passed on. "

I looked at Sophia, and apologized to her for bringing up an uncomfortable topic. She dismissed it, kindly excused herself and left. I felt like I shouldn't have asked too many questions. I learned through my opening up process the boy's name Yamada Izuki. He seemed cold and bitter, but from Sophia's explainations he seem like a kind person. As I contemplated on what to do next, he walked in.

" I heard that you have no place to go, so seeing that we have plenty of room here you can stay. One condition you shall start school Monday morning. "

I looked at him with much joy, but realized that those boys from my school probably leaked videos of what they did to me.

" I can't go to school, after what happened to me..... I just can't. "

He kept trying to convince me and kept being a nuisance, and then he....

" So if you can't go to school I guess you'll be sufficient in a different way."

He had a knife in his hand, he ripped through my shirt exposing my breasts. I had flashbacks of what my dad and the other boys did to me. I froze and as soon he closed in.......

" If you don't comply this is exactly what's gonna happen. You'll just be used again and again. This is your fresh start, take advantage of it. I promise you'll have a new life and better one at that. "

He got off me and apologized for his aggressive manner. He told me that he'll replace the shirt and get me more clothing. I was surprised he was so forceful and yet he didn't do anything to me as if he cared about my well being. Nonetheless I actually felt scared, Hayato actually willing enough to put me through this kind of stuff? Tears formed as I realized how dumb I've become, a few minutes passed and Sophia entered with a set of unfamiliar school uniforms. I look at them and saw the insignia of a private high school. Just who are these people. I remember Sophia saying that his family was doing well with money, but not this well. I felt ashamed that they were spending so much on a person like me.

" You didn't have to go through this much trouble, I feel as if I'm becoming a burden for you. "

Sophia looked at me and proceeded to sit beside me.

" Nonsense, we made this decision for you. The Young Master only wishes that you have a good stay here, and he believe that you still have much to learn of the world. "

I couldn't comprehend why he would go through the trouble, I felt sad yet happy. I felt as if I was gifted a second chance to continue my normal high school life. Sophia saw me zoning out and hugged my head, against her chest. I can hear her heart beating as she smothered me with love. I hope mom is doing okay, I hope she isn't beating herself up about what happened. It's not her fault, she didn't know this would happen, and things with dad. I miss mom and her quirkiness. I felt tears running down my face, I kept asking why did this had to happen to me. Sophia caressed my head and kept whispering in my ear

" You're safe now my baby, you're safe."

After a few minutes past, Sophia and I hugged and she took me to her room. She gave me one of her shirts and we proceeded out the door. We got on the elevator, and I couldn't believe on what floor we were on. We were on the penthouse suite floor!?!?! I kept asking myself who are these people. We got in a blacked out car and made our way to the mall. I kept thinking on how lovely the living room looked and how amazingly well kept the home is. Sophia really gives it her all everyday. As I looked over I could see the mall was a block away, but what made me really happy was seeing the smile Sophia had. We arrived at the mall and proceeded inside.

" I have a ton of outfit ideas for you to try on, and since we have security with us today, we're gonna have a blast, " said Sophia excitingly.

I was gonna responded but as soon as I can let a sound out, Sophia pulled me by the hand and we entered on of the most fashionably expensive stores. I tried out almost every outfit Sophia set for me and by the end we purchase every single outfit. The total was very extreme and a high sum I could never imagine spending. From jewelry to shoes, we simply enjoyed ourselves. We sat at the food court to take a break and get some food in our systems. As I ate my fries I saw a few girls from my old school glance at my direction. Those must've been the ones that wrote those things about me. I tried to ignore them, but then they began to make their way towards me.

" Sorry ladies, but you're busy today. The Young Miss doesn't wish to be seen, " said Sophia as she stepped infront of them.

" Wow rich and slutty, no wonder the boys were so crazy about her. Go figure am I right? " said the girl in the middle. From the responsive nods, she seemed to be the leader.

" You know I did some snooping and I saw some interest texts you sent out to the boys at your school, " said Sophia smiling.

" Really? I would love to see these supposed texts you're speaking of, " said the girl taken aback.

Sophia reached for her phone, and showed the girls her screen. Their overly confident expression changed to utter fright.

" So like I said the Young Miss wishes to be left alone for the evening, " said Sophia.

" And if we don't care what she wishes? Huh what are you gonna do?"
said the girl.

" Well let's just say daddy won't be pleased to have his daughter ruin his position as chief of the police force, " said Sophia giving her another smile.

I surprised to know that Sophia knew about that, but what surprised me even more is that it was true. The girl's expression changed quickly and she along with her friends departed without a word. Sophia sat down and finished her food. She apologized about the little quarrel and I shook it off as nothing personal. We finished up our shopping and proceeded home. Sophia headed to my room and helped put away all my clothing. After we finished she said goodnight, kissed my cheek and left my room. I head to my own bathroom, going inside of it felt weird since I never had a personal bathroom, but I was happy nonetheless. I showered, brush my teeth, and headed for bed. I felt nervous for tomorrow's new adventure, but then again I have a second chance to change my life for the better.
