Life is Strange

Life is a something that we can't always predict, and as things continue for us I start to believe that  I'm forever cursed in reliving my actions and choices. For some reason I see the light still near me as if I'm destined to have a greater life. As much as i don't want to believe it, my curse might just be my blessing. Her spirit may not be with us, but soul might just live in.....

" Hey Izuki, are you gonna stand there all day or are we going to the pool," said Shin as signaled the entrance with his thumb. 

I sighed at his question and proceeded to make my way towards the entrance. Out of all days why did they agree to go to the pool.

"You know what would be a great idea? We should all go to the pool!" said Saki.

" We can go to my house if you like, plus I can show you my closet and we can do lots of fun things!" said Naomi gleefully.

" I really want to, but I wanna show you guys a little bit of me this time, but definitely next time," said Saki

" So do you mean...." before Naomi could even finish her sentence Saki says cheerfully, " The public water park of course!"

I don't which was worse, these idiots agreeing or the pool being close to her old high school. Either way I had to be stuck in this mess. Then again it does beat being harassed by Naomi for the rest of the summer. School went by like a breeze and despite constantly kicking someone's ass or sticking to the shadows as a Yakuza, Saki has been happier than most girls. Grateful to life and living with a smile on her face. I felt like it would be ages until she broke out of her shell, but seemed more extroverted than what she lead on. Laughter all around, Naomi usual teasing,

" N-Naomi were in public and boys are gonna stare," said Saki nervously.

" Saki you got a great set on you, I can't help but grab em like this..." said Naomi.

Before she could get her way Shin plucked her forehead and told her to stop. She pouted as usual and Shin gave her an ice pop to cool off.

" Might as well make this into a rom-com while you guys are at it, but seeing that we are all done now... CAN YOU IDIOTS HELP ME ALREADY!" I said annoyed to all hell.

Freaked out they helped unloading the cooler, umbrellas and the towels near the large pool. The girls headed for the water while us guys stayed back and made sure we had everything settled. Despite the it being lower standards, the pool was surprisingly bigger than most public ones and the amount of people here it looks to be a very popular place. Honestly of all places why did she.......

" I know you're worried, but you have to understand Saki. I'm more than sure she chose this location with hopes of maybe seeing her fonder memories. As her protector you should at least make her happy and actually have fun,' said Shin.

" You know I wonder what my life would be like if you didn't pester me all the time," I said jokingly.

" Probably bathing in blood right about now or dead which ever comes first in this life," said Shin.

" Well you're not wrong if I'd continued he would have killed me, luckily I got to keep both districts and had it not been for my ruthlessness, Saki would have ended up with a ruined life or worse.. dead," I said.

" Well lets enjoy today at least, despite you not being happy with the idea and all," said Shin as he took off his shirt.

As usual he convinced me to relax and live a little. I took off my shirt and processed to follow him to the pool. As we made our way to the deep end, girls looked at us and of course most of them gawking at Shin. He read me like a book saying, " you know they're staring at you too six pack and all so stop acting like I'm the hot one in our group." I responding saying that he had a way with words. As I finished my smart ass remark, we got swarmed by a group of girls. They asked the normal questions like where are we from what school we go to. Of course Naomi was not happy about her man being flirted on screaming, " GET AWAY FROM MY MAN YOU UGLY SLUTS." I laughed as she got out and started to punch Shin, I quickly made my escape as I dived in the pool. Shin of course cursed me out as soon as he managed to escape and successfully entered the pool. Saki laughed as she witnessed everything and from there we all had a good time splashing each other with water, playing games, but what I enjoyed the most of us being together was her smile. She honestly reminded me of how much fun it was to be a normal teen, and how much fun Yumi would have had if they met.

" Hey Naomi I almost forgot to ask you, but did you know my cousin?" said Saki

" Who are you referring to Saki?" said Naomi

" I'm talking about the picture of you and Yumi together on your screen lock, at first I wasn't sure, but I looked at the pictures in my phone and was surprised that she knew you," said Saki

Both Shin and I were shocked to hear that both Yumi and Saki were related, its almost as if her life was set on this bad path due to her connection to Yumi's family. She told us how they hung out reading manga together and how she never really got to meet Yumi's dad. She told us that her aunt was sent to a special hospital and that her uncle committed suicide after Yumi died. Of course all of us, but Saki know that I actually killed that bastard, but she was right about Yumi's mother being sent to a mental hospital. We told her that we sent gifts to Yumi's mom on holidays and birthdays. We continued our day with reminiscent stories of our childhoods and how things were simpler and as if matters couldn't get worse he appeared.

" My dear Saki.... I've missed you so much your mother has been worried about you," said Mr. Yoshida

Saki's horrified her face went pale and hid behind me gripping my shoulder tightly as if she was going to tear it off.

" Saki please let's not make a scene in front of your friends it'll only make things harder for you," said Mr. Yoshida as he approached. " Do you want to make me angry? I promise I'll give you your 'favorite' food and we will forget about what happened.

" Saki what is he talking about who is he? said Naomi.

" That's Saki's father the one that...." I stopped myself from saying anything to set me off, but the message got across.

" Look kid I don't know what Saki has told you, but she was the one who decided to grow up and do this whole change on her own, besides she made sure her daddy felt better," said Mr.Yoshida.

" And raping your daughter is your way of being taken care of," said Shin.

" Saki I was gonna be nice to you, but it looks like you lied and said awful things about you dad and that I can not take lying down," said Mr.Yoshida

He put his hand on my arm trying to push me to the side, but he made a fatal mistake.... he took me lightly. I tripped him and made him land on his ass.

" You stupid bastard, you think you're gonna take my lovely Saki away from me? You have another thing come you little shit," said Mr.Yoshida as he got up and rushed me.

I knee him in the stomach and hit him with a spinning hook kick.

" PLEASE STOP DON'T DO THIS!" Saki screamed as she held me back.

I felt her shivering, I turned around and saw her face telling me, begging me for us to leave. Shin called his butler  as he stood guard against Mr.Yoshida, we headed for the changing rooms.

" Why is Shin staying back, I told you to stop fighting," Saki said.

" You and I both know he won't stop, get changed and head to my car I don't want to hear it. Do as I say and I promise I'll be back," I said

" Don't worry I got her Izuki, make sure Shin doesn't get hurt please," said Naomi worried.

I gave her a nodded as I rushed back to our area, Shin was handling himself as I expected. As I got closer I notice a woman rushing towards the two. She screamed and said to stop fighting. Security finally came and managed to control Mr.Yoshida. As things settled we found out that the woman was Mrs.Yoshida. As security took Mr.Yoshida away I quickly stopped Mrs.Yoshida and spoke with her. When the Yoshidas weren't home, I snuck into their home and searched for evidence in case we ever ran into them. As I searched I found out that one of Saki's teddy bears had a nanny cam in it and was recording. The footage was missing, but of course it didn't take me long to find it. The bastard was getting off to his own daughter until he finally got the courage to actually rape her. I showed Mrs.Yoshida the footage and the look of disgusted was smeared all over her face. Despite seeing this, she wanted to apologize to her daughter, but due to feeling so ashamed she said she couldn't bare to face her again. Days went by and we saw on the newspaper that Mr.Yoshida was arrested for multiple rape charges against other girls. I kept tabs on Mrs.Yoshida and her state of mind couldn't handle it any more luckily my contacts made it in time and we sent her to a mental hospital. She found solace with Yumi's mother and they both live happy as they can trying to coop. As for Saki well I still have to protect her. The start of a great summer, what's the worse that can happen.
