I walked to school, kicking the pebbles as I go. There was no reason that I needed to go to school, in fact I thought about skipping but you know, parents are parents. I passed by the douche that keeps hurting my best friend and the girl I'm in love with over and over again. She doesn't know it yet.

I tried to ignore him as much as possible by not making eye contact with him but he wasn't gonna let that happen.

"Hemmings!" He yelled from behind me. I ignored him.

"Luke." He said sternly. I groaned and turned around to face him. He had that same smirk he always had when we met.

"Thanks for helping me and Nads get back together man." I nodded and ducked my head and kept walking.

I put my books in my locker and stuffed my book bag in too. I shut the locker door before a pair of hands were wrapped around my waist. Nadia. I hesitantly wrapped my arms around her fragile body.

She was skinny but not enough to be called anorexic. Her hair was a beautiful bronze type color with a few gold flecks that turned even lighter in the sun. Her eyes were a stunning green that could captivate anyone. She could make anyone fall in love with her with those eyes. When she smiled, her dimples would be visible on her cheeks that always seemed to be pink. She had little freckles scattered across the bridge of her nose and upper cheeks. She was my definition of beautiful while other guys in visioned another girl.

"Thanks, I owe you." She said against my shoulder. When she pulled away she had that amazing smile. There had always been this twinkle in her eyes whenever she was talking about or even thinking about Derek.

When he had cheated on her or broken up with her, the only thing in her eyes were tears.

Her cheeks would flush ever redder when she'd be around him. Her cheeks would be caked with the smeared mascara when he tore her heart out of her body. Not physically but emotionally.

She'd always run across her yard to my house. Every time I opened the door to her her eyes would be bloodshot and tears would continue to leak out of her poor sockets.

"You're welcome." I said and faked a smile.

I hate that bastard, he doesn't deserve her. She needed someone who wouldn't break her heart continuously, someone who wouldn't lie to her while looking in her eyes. Someone who wouldn't have a "one night" stands every time he'd left her when she'd be crying on my shoulder.
