"Luke, wake up." I heard and then someone shook my shoulder. I opened my eyes and my brother Ben stood there shaking me

"Why is Nadia freaking sleeping in your damn bed? Wait- did you guys shag?!" He hissed.

"No! Derek." I grumbled angrily and sat up a little bit. Nadia was still on me so her head slid down to my lower stomach. I flinched because she was so close to him

"What did that di-" he started

"Luke." Nadia moaned and nuzzled her head into my stomach and squeezed me.

"Same as always; he broke up with her." I said. He nodded. "Hurry cause’ we're going to Aunt Marie's. She can come too I guess." I nodded and he turned on his heel and left my room.

"Nads." I whispered. She didn't budge. I shook her shoulder a little and she groaned and flopped off of me but onto the bed. I couldn't help but laugh but she was adorable.

I lay down on my side next to her so we were at the same level. I poked her cheek softly with m index finger. “Nadia.” I said as sweetly as possible because I know from experience: she’s not a mourning person.

I repeat: she is not a morning person.

I poke her cheek and again before her eyelids fly open. Her eyes are still puffy and red from all the crying. It’s weird how her eyes reflect how she’s feeling. When she’s happy and jump her eyes are the brightest green you could think of but when she was down or feeling a little depressed her eyes we’re the lightest green in existence. And now she wasn’t her beamy self so her eyes were the sheerest green. I smiled and she sat up and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands. She looked at me and gave a weak smile. I pulled her into my arms and she wrapped her arms around me warily. I let go a little bit to push her hair out of her face.

“We’re going to go to my Aunt Marie’s house, so if you wanna go you can.” I told her placing a stand of hair behind her ear.

She nods and gets out of bed and slips on her shoes and jacket and heads for the door I run after her since she didn’t really answer my question.

I yelled out to her just as she was out the door:

“So are you coming?”

“Yeah I’ll go.” She said but her voices sounded hoarse, she smiled a fake smile and left.
