Music drummed into my ears, melting away all my responsibilities. I flowed with the music nodding my head to the beat. The bass seemed to cover the vocals but I didn't mind. I smiled at the full view of the scenery. It was a nice sight to see the strobing lights and foggy floors of the club. It all felt familiar, in a good way. Great memories were made. People were packed up at dance floor like sardines. Women dominated the club; they're the majority.

Who says I can't have it all

I shook my head with a slight smirk before heading to the bar. I walked over with a smile already creeping in the corners of my mouth. My eyes focused on a familiar someone already sitting in a chair. Licking my lips, I inched behind the chair snuggling my head in the crook of their neck. "What the-...baby!" she squealed. I pecked her cheek lightly before gripping onto her waist. "Hey Princess" I said flirtatiously. "You scared me a lil" she said scratching behind her neck. I held onto her soft hands dragging her off her chair, bringing her closer to me. "Dance with me" I whispered into her ears. A sexy grin planted on her face as she led the way to the dance floor. We went through the crowds of people to find a space perfect for us. I gripped onto her waist letting it unwind on my lower half. My body got into the groove of the rhythm moving in sync with her body. It was like I was in some spell, and I couldn't get out of it. Or at least I thought.

Strobe lights flashed disturbing my mind. It had already been hours of us dancing and I was starting to grow tired. Nothing lasts forever. I swayed lifelessly as Princess danced alongside me. I was distracted for a split second by someone else. For a moment, I thought I saw a girl walking up to me. Even if she's just a girl something about her was familiar. I miss you. I squinted my eyes realizing she had grew closer to me. My heart started to race crazily fast. I detached myself from my dancing partner, coming face to face with her. Everything around me seemed to swirl out of focus. I didn't question anything instead I followed my heart. Her fragile hands gracefully touched my left cheek while I stared into her eyes. I know her from somewhere. My two hands cupped her face as I leaned in to lay a kiss. It all happened in slow motion as if time had stop. My lips managed to brush against hers as she parted away. Her eyes glowed in the dark while she smiled. She detached herself as she walked into the crowd. A soft tear left my eye as I followed her into nothing. It's like I had belong with her, like we were meant to be. I rubbed my eyes letting reality sink back in. The music brought me back to life. "Kai?" Princess questioned. "Yeah" I said focusing on her eyes. "Are you alright?" she said with a slight smile. "Yeah, I'm just tired that's all. I think I'm going to head home so, I'll talk to you later" I said giving a light kiss on her cheek. She nodded with a sigh. I walked towards the door with a feeling of confusion and relief. Who is she?

I can't remember the love you never gave

I gasped for air waking out of my sleep. Sweat soaked my pillow along with my forehead. I sighed wiping my face. I laid back on my drenched pillow staring at the ceiling. What time is it? My thoughts remained on the girl that had visited me last night. I touched my bare lips remembering what it felt like to meet hers. I smiled to myself in amusement. I kissed her, I almost kissed her. Getting up out of my large bed, I headed straight to the bathroom. I yawned my way into the bathroom picking up my toothbrush. Brushing my teeth took the complete five minutes I owed them. My teeth were precious to me, everything must stay clean. I walked back to my bed returning the sheets to its regular posture. Suddenly I heard a noise escape from outside. I scrunch my eyebrows together opening my bedroom door. I walked out into my living loosening my tensed nerves. "It's you" I said rubbing my head. "You want some coffee?" she asked. It was my friend Amaranthine. We grew up together like siblings almost. I can't remember a time where she hasn't been there for me. Annoying bastard. Unfortunately, she has the keys to my house. "No thanks, I can do without a cup" I said rejecting her offer. "Good morning to you too" she said with attitude.

She stood there in the living room, with comfortable clothing; casual sweats, loose t-shirt and some slides. Her hair fell in her face she glared carefully at me. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Kai" she said seriously. "Amaranthine" "I can't just come to visit?" she questioned. "Not like this you can't. Amara what is it?" I said gazing into her soul. "Okay fine! I got in a little trouble" she said hesitantly. "Trouble? With who?" I asked confused. "Stefan" "Who?" I said screwing up my face. "Stefan the really big guy, super tall, fully tatted..." she explained. Her nature is so child like it bothers me. I rolled my eyes ignoring her request. I walked back into my room slamming the door behind me. I sat on my bed waiting for her to intrude me once more. Before I knew it the stomping of small feet landed directly at my door. "It's Stefan Moore, he wants me dead" she said leaning on my door. I sighed walking to my door. I opened it to her sitting on the floor. "Moore?" I scoffed at his name. She just had to play with fire. "How do you expect me to help?" I said bending directly to her level. "Help me get rid of him" I looked at her in amusement. Smiling I patted her softly. "Nothing in life is that easy baby girl" I said raising an eyebrow. She slowly nodded accepting the reality of my words. I walked away from my door laying down on my bed. I started to reflect on her words feeling more ashamed of myself. Get rid of him. I could remove countless of souls and it still wouldn't pay well. It's a shame a soul is worth anything quantifiable.

Am I worth something too?
