The resonance of falling water unruffled my thoughts. I took in a deep breath of smoke before blowing out my problems. I settled into my couch, while staring out my windows to my backyard. Only if my problems would go away. "Water?" She said offering me a cup. "Thanks" I responded, grasping onto the cup. "I'm sorry...." "Don't be, he has to be dealt with anyways" I said still staring into the window. I tend to stare out the window at times, almost like I'm waiting for something. If i could run away from my problems i would. "What are you gonna do? What's the plan?" Amara asked. I smirked looking at her. My fingers found her chin caressing it softly. "Babygirl, there is none. Now can you please just leave" I requested with a sarcastic smile. I motioned my hand fleeing her away. "Kai" she yelled. I stopped, folding my arms. She sighed lifting up her hands, "Fine, I'll leave then". I waved goodbye walking back into my room. I need to get away. I sighed diving straight into bed. I could even say i melted into the sheets. My eyes grew heavier as i drifted into a brief sleep.
2:45 am
I opened my eyes to the doorway of space. Stars glimmered everywhere as i swam in the sea of darkness. I kept my eyes wide open confirming where i was. I breathed in the cold air amazed at how i managed to do it with eaze. My mouth opened wide at the sight of the milky way, vibrant clouds of light pink and dark purple filled my eyes. Wow. I kept my thoughts to myself hoping no one would hear. I felt like a kid, in a good way. "It's beautiful" a voice said from behind me. I turned around expecting someone but they weren't there. I decided to float on my back to get a better view of the universe. Suddenly the sound of heels filled my ears, coming straight towards me. It abruptly stopped causing me to get up. I stood face to face with a familiar face. I blinked hoping she was real. She had a large curly afro with sparkles in them. Her skin glimmered, she was fair skinned with freckles and scars all over her. Her eyes caught me in it's trap. It felt like I almost missed her. Tears began to drop from my eyes. I had so much emotions within me only for her. She licked her pink lips landing her dominant light brown eyes onto me. She reached out her hand, wiping away my tear. "Don't cry" She said with a smile.
I just want to love you for a night
I placed my hands in hers as she rubbed my cheek. I could see in her eyes that she missed me too. I wish i could stay longer. "I'm sorry" she said speaking softly. Her hands began to slip away as she began to turn around. I glimpsed at my hand as she walked around into the shimmery seas of space. Until next time. I turned away walking straight into the starry sky. I had no sense of direction but i felt if i kept walking straight i could reach somewhere. There I stood gradually blending into the abyss.
I never really feared the unknown even when they wanted me to
