You brought me sunshine when I only saw pain. You brought me laughter when I only felt pain

Wyatt's strong arms held me tightly to his chest. His smell of vanilla making a goofy smile spread across my lips. It was Christmas morning and I wanted to surprise him with breakfast but he had me so tightly in his grip that I wasn't sure I'd be able to leave. I eventually shimmied my way to freedom. When I was at the doorway I heard his raspy sleepy voice speak quietly.

"Where are you going?"

"To the bathroom, silly."

"Be quick. I'm gonna get cold without you," he mumbled and I felt my heart flutter. I tiptoed downstairs and made him a few batches of his favorite fluffy Belgian waffles and cut up fresh fruit in order to make a platter. I set the plate of waffles next to the fruit before quietly opening a drawer. My eyes landed on a beautifully wrapped package. I placed it carefully under our tree. Then, I walked up the stairs and got back into bed with him.

"Wyatt," I cooed and pulled him on top of me. "Wake up, my sleepy noodle head."

"I'm tired," he moaned and pulled my body close for warmth. "And you're so warm I want to snuggle with you forever."

"We can snuggle downstairs. I'll start the fireplace and make you a cup of hot cocoa," I offered and he put a warm hand on the small of my back, rolling me on top of him.

"Okay," he whispered. "But you have to wake me up."

"Okay," I giggled and started to tickle him. In an instant, he sprang to life but my knees were holding down his arms.

"Stop that!! Please! Stop!" He writhed under my body and I let out a loud, jolly laugh. "I'll get up! I'm awake, I'm awake," he said breathlessly and I rolled off him. "When I said wake me up I meant kiss me, not kill me," I rolled my eyes and kissed his lips once. He reached for my arm, hoping that I would continue but I quickly bounced out of our warm bed. I ran back downstairs and turned on our fireplace. I started to warm up hot milk for our hot cocoa. Wyatt eventually waddled his way down the stairs, squinting his eyes as he entered the brightly lit kitchen. Then, his eyes widened as he saw the elaborate table of food. He walked to the table and grabbed a waffle, taking a large bite. His eyes rolled in delight and I just laughed again. "Mmm, Alex. That is soooo good," he informed me before throwing an arm over my shoulder. I let my head rest on his shoulder for a few moments. Then we ate breakfast. The morning was full of laughter and love.

"You said we weren't getting each other anything," Wyatt whined as I handed him the gift I had bought. I chuckled loudly and wrapped my hair around my pointer finger. He rolled his eyes playfully.

"I couldn't get you nothing. It's Christmas!"

"Well I guess it's a good thing I got you something too," he said with a smirk and my smile fell.

"No you didn't!"

"Oh yes I did," he laughed and began to open the gift I bought him. He smiled as he looked at the blue sunglasses in the box. "Aw, Alexandria I love them," he said and slid them on. I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He took my hand and together we stood. His arms slithered around and covered my eyes. He led me out the door and we walked for about a minute. I could feel flakes of snow kissing my porcelain skin. Finally, Wyatt removed his hands and I opened my eyes. In front of me was a blue Camaro with a large red bow.

"Wyatt Noodle Oleff if this is not a joke I'm going to scream. These cars are so expensive!! It must have cost you a fortune," I exclaimed and turned to him with my mouth wide open.

"Just a small gift for my pretty little princess. I needed to spoil you a little. The car I was originally going to but was a little less expensive but when I saw this one, I instantly fell in love. Just like when I ran into you outside the cafe," he explained and kissed my lips quickly. "And look at that color. It's the exact shade of blue your eyes turn when you're happy. Like right now," he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear and I kissed him passionately as the snow softly fell.

"Well, let's take her for a ride," I smirked and he tossed me the keys. I slide onto the leather seat and admired the beautiful interior. My breath was taken away as I realized it was a convertible. It would be perfect for summer. "Let's go pick up Sophia!"

"Okay!"

"Wow," Sophia said in a wispy voice as she got into the back seat. A boy named Joshua was with her when we showed up at her house. I knew she had had a crush on him for a while but I didn't know they started to talk. Wyatt gave me a look when Joshua had answered the door. Now, the four of us were sitting in my gorgeous new car. "So, where are we going?"

"Where ever your little heart pleases, Soph," I replied and messed with the radio.

"How about we go to the mall then out to dinner? It could be our first double date," Joshua's smooth voice spoke up quietly. I looked at him through my rear view mirror. He had a genuine smile plastered on his face. Maybe he could actually be the one for Sophia.

"Sure, mall sounds good. Where are we gonna go for dinner though?" I questioned as I put the car in drive.

"Texas Roadhouse?" Sophia offered and we all agreed. I began to drive and the music blasted. We sang and danced together, and the world felt like it was at peace.
