One moment life is more pigmented than technicolor. Glitter flows through my veins and the stars in my eyes dilated and burst into delusions. Minutes, hours, or days later, shades of blue and black surround me like smoke. The glitter morphs into shards of glass and taunts every breath that I take

"Where did you go last night," Sophia's voice was soft as she woke me up. I yawned before rolling over onto my back. Her beautiful eyes were looking down at mine.

"I went for a cigarette but then I saw Angela. You know her? She goes to our school," I explained and Sophia nodded. "Well, she saw me crying and brought me to Devils and Dolls night Club. I met a guy named Hunter there and we made out in the bathroom," I sighed and averted my eyes. Sophia's mouth was hanging open.

"What about Wyatt," Her voice raised two octaves.

"He obviously doesn't want me anymore," I stated quietly.

"Don't you think you should talk to him?"

"I tried, you tried too. No answer."

"Let's try again," Sophia offered and picked up my phone. She began to dial Wyatt's number.

"He's going to hate me now, Soph," I explained to her.

"He would never hate you. Maybe just be angry for a while," Sophia tried to reassure me. The phone began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Wyatt!"

"This is Wyatt Oleff, if you want to leave a message wait for the beep! Sorry I missed your call," his voice said happily. My eyes filled with tears as Sophia put my phone down gently. She took my hand in hers.

"You want pancakes," she tried to cheer me up but I just shook my head.

"Wyatt and I always made pancakes together," I stated.

"Cinnamon rolls?"

"HELL YEAH!" I exclaimed and threw myself out of her bed. She laughed happily and we raced each other to her kitchen. I started to blast music and we sang and danced. Sophia's voice filled my heart with happiness. She's honestly the best friend I could have ever asked for. Once the cinnamon rolls were finished, we each picked one up. Sophia held hers in the air.

"Cheers to us, the bestest friends in the whole wide world," she smiled and we clicked our cinnamon rolls together like champagne glasses.

"Okay buddy, I let you sleep longer than ever before but you really should get up now. It's already noon," Jaeden yelled as he sacked me with a pillow. "Wakey wakey wyatt baby," he cooed and I groaned loudly.

"Get the fuck off of me, Jae," I muttered as I pushed him off the bed. He landed on his butt and looked up at me with big puppy dog eyes. I burst out laughing.

"Not funny!! That hurt me, Wy," he snapped before standing up. "Let's get food, dickwad."

"Sounds good, what are we eating?"

"Alex," Jaeden stated and I began to choke on the air.

"What?" I coughed out. He looked at me, the confusion was obvious.

"I said apples?"

"Oh." I collected myself before looking at him. He shrugged my weird reaction off as we entered his kitchen. He opened the fridge and there were bags of apples. Apples were his mom's favorite food since before I had even known her. We each grabbed two apples before taking a large bit into them.

"You should talk to Alexandria," Jaeden suddenly stated.

"Why?"

"Well, I think you really hurt her last night. She went clubbing with these people I don't even know. Alex never seemed like that type of person," he assumed. I nodded slowly as I took another bit of my apple.

"Yeah but if she wanted to talk, she would have called," I replied.

"Check your phone, dumbo," Jaeden sighed with a roll of his eyes. My hand reached into my pocket and I checked my phone. Alex had called this morning. I must have been asleep. My mind was buzzing. Were we even still together? I disappeared after she rejected a guy. Who does that? I knew I was in the wrong here and I should apologize.

"I guess you're right. I'll talk to her after we eat," I decided and Jaeden elbowed me softly.

"Thats my boy," he cooed before ruffling the hair on my head.

Sophia and I were cuddled up snugly on the couch in her living room. We had been binge watching Friends all morning but decided to watch a movie. We scrolled through Netflix, playfully bickering about what movie to pick. I wanted to watch Mean Girls or Ten Things I Hate About You while Sophia wanted to watch IT.

"Sophia! You know how we are with horror movies!! We'll laugh and laugh and laugh at all the 'scary' or 'sad' parts and then we'll feel like shitty people afterwards," I sighed, hoping we wouldn't have to go through this vicious cycle again.

"But Xandria! Would it make you feel better to laugh at Regina George being hit by a bus? Regina is your icon for goodness sake how can you watch her get hurt and then have the audacity to laugh," Sophia retorts and shakes her head.

"Um actually-,"

Knock, knock, knock

"Hello?" I called. No answer. I bounded happily off the couch before swinging open Sophia's door. My heart was beating like a kick drum. I was holding my breath, my body trembling rapidly. Those three seconds were the longest instant of my life. I knew exactly how it would play out. Wyatt would be standing there and I would confess everything. He would be angry but he'd forgive me either way. That's how strong our love was. No matter what, Wyatt and I will always be together. A smile was ghosting on my lips when my eyes finally met his. His curly hair, his-
